You were right. The turbulent winds were too strong for the monster truck.
I like how Gachikun had s.hp ready almost every time vs the double fist flips. Didn’t let him get started with that.

Abigail needs more buffs because he is fair, honest and big.

Here’s three matches from a 3v3 at Frosty Faustings:

It certainly has buttons. I’ve only seen one character (the last character to lose) have stubby buttons, and he seems to be regarded as lower tier (coincidently, he’s also the Ryu of the game, lol). Pretty much every other character has some sort of weapon to give them extra range.
The game is more grounded than most animes. There isn’t any air-dashing, but some characters have extra mobility options. It seems to be more like a Street Fighter game in an anime package. It has pretty free combo routes as well, from what I can tell. Also, it isn’t as mechanic heavy has GG, for example, and the characters are a lot less wacky than GG as well.
All in all, I’m pretty excited to get it. I feel like I need to try something other than SFV and this seems like it’s exactly what I’m looking for. Still not sure when I’ll get it though, hopefully within the next week.

You should try ki.
I would if I had an Xbox or a decent enough PC

Thunder was/is another great grappler character. Now I dunk with the law.
I’m probably gonna pick up UNIEL today or tomorrow and give the cast a shake. I know very little about it other than some reading I did awhile back and a few toruneys I watched recently.

Meaties don’t function differently at all
Just this game has very few active frames on normals + 2 different get-up timings so actually landing a true meaty is a rare occurence (ie, placing a normal so the opponent wakes up into the later active frames, so you recover sooner and get better frame advantage)
Unless you’re a good boy like Ed
Why don’t they ban Abigail from tournaments if they think he is unfair. This community should be more proactive
"The harder part is landing the charged heavy punch, the double target combo has pretty strict timing but it’s totally doable, you can train to get consistent with the timing and I expect a pro to nail it all the times unless nerves get in the way. I know because I do practice that combo all the times, and I actually don’t mind at all that Abigail can do that stuff (the opposite in fact).
Abigail’s massive damage and him being strong where he is supposed to be strong is not the problem, the problem is that Season 3 pretty much removed his weaknesses and he’s no longer vulnerable where he was supposed to be vulnerable, while his hurtboxes remain unquestionably broken.
Abigail was supposed to be a high-risk/high-reward character that either won by unleashing his massive damage and pressure or lost decisively to his opponent’s pressure, his high health was there just to make that playstyle viable. What Abigail is right now is a character that dominates the neutral with low risk fast buttons with long range that you can’t whiff punish because you’ll take more damage trying to do so than to just give up and let him gain space, he’s hard to punish even if he messes up because of his misleading hurtboxes, if he trades of confirm into anything it’s always in his favour, he also can’t be safely pressured anymore because his lights got faster, his armored move will bust any non-strict frame trap and now he can combo off his crLK into good damage, and even if everything goes wrong for him he can still count on his trademark high health and high damage to make him pull a comeback at any moment no matter how bad he has been outplayed.
This has nothing to do with Cammy or any other top tier, the fact is that Abigail is a serious problem to the game’s balance and he is not comparable to any of the previous top tier this game had, not S1 Chun nor Balrog nor Ibuki nor anyone. If a character as strong as Cammy can’t come close to compete with Abigail you can imagine what’s going to happen to the rest of the cast that, like her, rely more on the neutral and have no zoning abilities.
Itazan dismissed a high level Kolin with the same simplicity as with Cammy, Guile’s zoning was ineffective, Tokido struggled massively to beat StormKubo while using Akuma which should just be able to suffocate Abigail. I don’t need any further evidence to see that this character is a problem for the entire cast and that even the pros have no way to consistently counter his stuff."

A good player can do like 6-7 meaties every match

Guile wins the VT2 lottery… mans defence gets even better with VT2.

I’m talking consistently hitting a meaty where you’re hitting on later active frames
The lack of active frames + 2 different get ups make that not happen very often so we settle for options that at least beat 3 frame buttons, which isn’t really a meaty
Never mind, forget I responded to you
