I really wonder what all these general hurtbox/hitbox “adjustments” mean. Plus with some of the overbearing moves (and grabs) getting more recovery frames I wonder if Capcom wants more whiff punishing in s3.

The 3 frames more of recovery on the knee attack hurt a bit, but I fail to see how that is the end of the world to Zangief.
You will have to be more careful when applying it. I will just adapt and keep going as usual.
Theyre changing the way AA jab and some other grounded AAs interact with jump heavy buttons.
Part of me wonders if the increased pushback on hit thing also applies there. Maybe trying to nerf the 50/50 situation after as well if you happen to still make it work.
Theres also a bunch of grounded AA improvements to characters that needed them.
