Honestly, the buttons do feel a little more responsive to me as well. I feel like I can get DP’s off earlier, but I also just started doing an input shortcut so I’m a completely unreliable source.
Watching the stream… Bison takes 50% health for free now.
Tears will commence shortly
@Daemos Dont look at Cody
The guy who made Karin’s trials should be shot on sight.
Yeah, c.MP xx Hadoken is a true block strong for Ryu, c.MK xx Hadoken isn’t though, and there is enough time to go into the Parry after the blocked c.MK.
The AI hasn’t been modified from s2 it seems. They’re still pretty free to jump-ins and sweeps.
Fuck like I am happy with ae
happy with abi changes
but I see that suit and gimmie some fuckin Blanka!!!

God damn man Capcom really doesn’t like mods
I have to sit here and trial and error every mod to see if it works with AE
Anywho…how’s the netcode? My sources was an official Capcom rep and he told me they improved it…
That Cody looks mighty fine in Mayor Haggar’s clothes.
Almost like a male underwear model. I approve.

She most definitely plays like her SF4 version. All her shit is links so yeah, difficult. I wasn’t expecting her Alpha version but it would’ve been nice. That said she’s fun to play. I can see a lot of players not picking her up for the same reason they didn’t in SF4. She’s going to be difficult to execute shit with. I don’t even understand the benefit of VT1 over VT2. The fireballs are nice but V2 gives you extra comboability from both her tatsu and DP. To me that’s clearly the one to choose.
I played the game a bit today, sad to see it still sucks. I will admit that the presentation now is LEAGUES better than launch SFV. This is what the game should’ve looked like from the start.
Many of the V2s seem useless but that’s maybe because I haven’t utilized them. Sim’s only seems good to start pressure and nothing else. If you slide into V2 the opponent eats the entire fireball and you’ll have to throw your second one which takes FOREVER to come out whether on ground or air making it pretty useless even after knockdown. Shame. Sim’s other buttons seem really good, especially Yoga Hammer, but just like before he’s free to rushdown. None of his defensive options have changed but at least jump-ins are even harder for your opponent now.
Zangief ate a nerf hammer for whatever reason. He cannot combo from c. LP anymore which is a MASSIVE nerf to his game. His F+MK now has three extra frames of recovery, something I don’t understand because this is a rushdown game and he most definitely needed the knee to do quick shorthops towards the opponent. Adding even more recovery frames to his whiffed SPDs practically means you do NOT want to attempt one unless you are certain it’s going to land. Thanks for that. His V2 has a lot of potential but it’s lost in the wind as his LP combos were taken away and would’ve been a great way to lead into a combo’d SPD.
Urien still seems great even with his slight nerfs. He’s practically the same. His V2 seems better than the Aegis TBH. It has the ability to mix-up just as well and he gets, what, three chances to use the chariot rush? If I cared about playing this game again I would definitely just choose Urien.
The game is still offensive-based without any real defensive options. Some of my favorite characters got borked for reasons I can’t seem to fathom. It’d be nice (I can’tt believe I’m still saying this after two years) if the game would give you defensive options like just blocks to change frame data, better reversals that aren’t so braindead easy to punish, invincible backsteps, etc. But hey, it’s their game to design. I just can’t see myself enjoying it.
That’s my opinion on the 6 hours I spent playing today. Now, back to Guilty Gear.
You wanna get spanked nerd???
Rashid’s extra battle is easy as shit. You have to win one round but it’s AI lvl 1 or 2 and it never blocks. I perfected him on first try.
odd. it feels more lag to me but could just be a placebo effect.
Nash VT2 seems like it’s pretty good so far. good mix ups and combos but so many possibilities since he can do the dash more than once.
