Better AA’s were legit, the others 900HP characters don’t suck that much from her in ground game department (Cammy,Akuma), but they have definitely a better AA tools. Capcom had to justify her nerfed ground game at least. Guren Ken nerf is there to convince people to try VT2,but reducing the time of VT1 is silly, her trademark move is dead. With her legs almost chopped off she will be even more free for grapplers in general, st.HP CC could help,but no one asked for this change. Karin was strong in an honest way, she will be still viable, but I don’t see how her changes could help her vs annoying MU like Akuma and Rashid who doesn’t get nerf hammered that hard.
Funny enough, when I think of SRK, then think of Juri players you’re the first that always comes to mind, then that one GaMeRGUyyy. (forgot how you spell his name, the one that had a mental break down rage fit back in the day) I’m sure someone here knows who i’m talking about.

Hmm… one thing is clear from the patch notes, the hurtboxes and hitbox are changed overall. I hope this means it is adjusted to accurately reflects the visuals.
Shit. I was cautiously optimistic that Capcom can’t be this stupid before the notes, but it looks like out of the main s.MK poke abusers (Karin, Cammy, Juri) only Karin got the nerfhammer.
This is a S2 style overnerf, taking her from having the best poking s.MK in the game to not even up there anymore. Even characters like Chun and Rashid have better s.MKs now (which they never use since they have much better low commitment pokes to throw out there).

Seems like Juris VT is now 2 bars, lasts longer, but consumes more bar, when she uses a storemove.
The only thing I see for Cammy a lot is hitbox and hurtbox changes, but not how they changed them.
Also VT1 is supposed to last longer. Could we get the 3VT specials from the Beta back?

Lift Upper had a hurtbox change… I hope not in the way I think right now.
not sure of st.mk or st.hk, but one of them is now +4 on hit, what means we can combo off of it on close range… whoever would do them that close anyway.

Definitely st.mk will remain the same, st.HK has few uses outside CC punish,so I think is that one.
I see a lot of characters with a damage throw buffs, dash grab will be even more a thing if that’s true.

But don’t even mention Juri’s because it’s -4, all they’ve done is brought your st.mk in line with hers. Having a poke that you can press at range that’s -2 but so fast the opponent can’t contest is a stupid normal and promotes thoughtless neutral.
It’s not a significant nerf, it will still be one of her most deadly midrange tools. Only the start-up nerf is a major factor but due to st.mk’s pretty nutty hitbox I doubt Karin players will stop using the button. 7f at -4 felt justified to me, and I hope they at least retain it’s start-up.
Karins st.mk was slowed down by 1f, so I think it’s 8f startup now.

Right, didn’t think of that. But then again Kolin players knew the timing so it was a non-issue for them. And now they’re stuck with a move that’s significantly slower and which probably can only punish fireballs if your opponent throws them out after seeing her spin around.
Maybe it works in the corner now after EX hands, that could be a tiny buff.
