1f links are gone in the sense that with the input buffer you have 3f to do them.

the very concept of a 1f link is hard to remove unless you balance all frame data around avoiding them, but the buffer ignores that.

There are still some true 1f that require microwalks however.

Now, there may be 1F of leniency somewhere in there, but I don’t think there is.

Any Chun players know if this will be altered in anyway for AE? Did c.LP get more push-back?

Darc and Volt deserve a lot more credit than I do. I have been working 14 hour days after the news broke and barely had time to do much of anything other than post here periodically in the various “I’m creating a successor board” threads to try and coordinate our efforts.

I’m not going to deny that you know more about this game than I do, so I’ll take your word for it, but lenient cancel and charge windows is not how I would put it. It may be 2F. AFAIK, the combo is impossible without utilizing the input buffer.

I play Zangief. He is effing slow and walking back to give me space to think is something I do often.
Ending up in the corner is a thing that will happen all the time.

with the size of the stages and the corner carry of some chars its kinda hard to not end once there per match.

That’s definitely the right “plan A”.

In this game though you can end up in the corner really quickly depending on who you’re fighting so I think there is value in developing more mental toughness/situational awareness as to what you can/should do in the corner and when you should do it. Plan for the worst, hope for the best sort of thing.

The downside is that practicing that against randos feels impossible. The drills KingCrimson and I have been running do seem to work pretty well for it though so if you ever want to give those a shot Bea just say the word.

Exactly. I’m not dissing the importance of having enough patience not to fall for shimmy, throws and frametraps in the corner, but it’s equally important to get rid of that habit as well. Gotta be a menacing wall, scary to approach.

I will pretty much spend the weekend walking myself into the corner in lounges and casual matches during the weekend when you guys aren’t around anyway. I need to force me to learn 'Gief’s tools to deal with being cornered.
