The Sensational She-Hulk #1: Haters Went Wild

No I believe it. I leaked the MUA2 roster on Gamespot. And right down till Fury confirmation. No one believe me so whatever. I know what it feels like.

Jen would greatly be benefited from some nice lockdown assist, like Chun’s legs.

Personally, I’ll try mix her with Amaterasu and Jean Grey - seems a little bit random, but I’m optimist about it (Seth indeed said that Phoenix and her assists would fit in almost every team).

That was some nice she-hulk gameplay there from ultra-david, men its gonna be a pain waiting through these final few weeks.

He also said Jean’s assist weren’t anything too special either.

Yeah. But I’m optimist. We’ll have to wait and see once the game drops.

Better than being junk, I’d say. Plus, if Jean have something to cover range or space, I’m set. (anti-air, due to her low health, would be risky, unless if the move’s hitbox is really big).

Would help Jen a big deal.

Hmm maybe I have it mixed up. But another really low health character probably isn’t going to go well with She-Hulk. Especially if all the supers are stacked just for Dark Phoenix. But if Dark Phoenix can be tagged out that does create some interesting team hypers after one of She-Hulk’s command grabs.

Plus, both are hard-hitters (as proven on Ultra David’s play - she defeated Ryu in a few seconds).

On paper, the team wouldn’t have room for any margin of error, because of Ammy and Jen having low health. But all of them have pretty good mobility options and damage.

Read it. Thats the problem.

Loving her Clothesline assist. Crumples opponents for soooo long, lol.

Jocelot, do you (or any one else, for that matter) know if the clothesline assist crumples even during a combo? If I were executing a combo with point character and I throw clothesline out there, would it reset the character to crumple or would it knock them backwards into an automated roll?

I’m aware that this may be an unknown but I figured I’d pitch anyways.

Hmm, I’m not really sure to be honest. Maybe Capcom put a limit on crumple status to one per combo like OTG’s and Wallbounce moves. (Wish I could help more, lol)

I might be missing something, but at what point does she run through it? I see a point where she does her dash and Arthur tosses his sword, but it looks more like Arthur’s sword pulls her in. She’s definitely not in her dash stance anymore.

I think so too. Chun’s legs would help Shulkie a great deal in closing in on her opponents, but you’d have to be very careful of Chun getting hit. A low-hitting assist would also set up a lot of things for her, since she has a few overhead attacks from her wall-jump. Either Chun’s legs or a low-hit assist would work just as well, but I think she’d also need someone like Dormammu if she wants to close in on projectile spammers. Dark hole and purification would probably the best choices for an assist.

AFAIK, you can combo into crumple, but the next hit will cause them to recover.

Got it, Thanks, Shiizu.

I’m gonna rock She-Hulk / Thor / Hulk

Thor’s Mighty Smash is a great lockdown assist for whenever either Hulk gets close. Thor’s tornado super can also be done in the air, so She-Hulk can do air magic series–>tag–>Thor air magic series xx tornado super. Thor–>Hulk DHCs seem like they will be really easy to land, if my theories prove true. Thor’s shockwave super should easily DHC into Hulk’s gamma tsunami. Thor’s air tornado super should hopefully DHC into Hulk’s gamma crush (since it hits on the way up) or gamma quake. She Hulk won’t have as much synergy with them if they tag into her, but hopefully it shouldn’t be too much of an issue since I’ll be running her on point.

Also Hulk’s gamma charge assist has super armor, so it should be a great pressure tool AND “get off me” tool. She Hulk’s low assist will be awesome for everything, especially Thor triangle jumps.

Of course the big issue with this team will be closing the distance, so I’ll have to see how everything works out in actual play. Otherwise they’ll definitely have the damage to tear shit up. I might have to put Thor or Hulk on projectile assist if I find that I need one to close the distance.

Also guys keep in mind that Chun’s legs assist really won’t help SHulk close the distance. AFAIK when you call Chun in she appears next to SHulk, so if you’re getting zoned out then calling the assist wont put Chun next to your opponent. Chun’s assist will be great AFTER you close the distance.

I haven’t watched the batch of new vids yet, but it’s great to hear that she got some play by competent players. I hope Ultra David or Keits posts some feedback!!!

Poor She-Hulk doesn’t have much THC Synergy with anyone. And speaking of Hyper Combos, I’m not sure which video it was, but it was a CES one where someone actually landed the first hit of her drop kick Hyper, but it stopped there.

At this point, I’m thinking that there are extra inputs that follow the initial drop kick, which is a bit different, I guess. Her Hypers break her synergy so badly… Unless of course, the character is in the corner, but I’m not sure if they’ll take extra damage while she’s doing the Hyper during the THC because of the extra inputs and what-have-you, not to mention it zooms in. Might just be the one drop kick.

What are you guys’ thoughts?

Also, I’m in the process of reading through this entire thread so that I don’t sound like an idiot asking questions that have already been asked. I rather dislike being uninformed, really. So pardon me if I’m repeating stuff.

Yea I was talking about her dropkick super a few pages back. I’m guessing that it requires additional input–but that may be a good thing. Perhaps she has an optional grab after it? There may be alot more to it than we’ve been shown so far. I don’t think they changed it to one drop kick because I saw her do the full hyper in the newest (Phoenix/Haggar) build. It happened in the background during the G4 interview w/ Seth and Adam Sessler.

I just started watching the newest batch that Ketis posted and something caught my attention. In one of the vids Ultra David was able to make She Hulk “charge” while in her track stance. She just remained bent over while staying green. I wonder what’s that about? What would be the benefit of charging up the stance? I’m still holding out hope that it gives her temporary super armor, so maybe it extends the armor duration? Can someone please confirm/deny that?

EDIT:

Vid (with time stamp) of her charging the stance:

she hulk iz gonna put in WORK, bet it

To be honest, THCs weren’t used too much in MvC2. Aside from creating a cast of pure beam supers, you shouldn’t be basing your team on THC synergy. DHC on the other hand is much more important.

Has anything been said about whether her AA assist, the somersault, is actually a good AA assist along the lines of an SRK or whatever?

Nope, the only write up i saw on her actually addressed the fact that they didn’t test out her somersault as an AA.
