Finally caught up with the Utage preview vids. Looks like Matsunaga got dat sexy “I don’t about your superior numbers and I’m just gonna advance towards you slowly like I don’t give a fuck” walk ala Air Aizen, and it fits his character well, and I’m digging Kojuro’s “crescent” slash style.
Also I’m not sure that it matters, but I just bought the BD of the first season and I just heard that FUNimation will bring over the next season and perhaps even Last Party over. It may help to convince Capcom to localize it if we support the DVD/BD sales.

Funimation is definitely bringing out the second season of SB. They announced some of the dub cast for it a while ago. Haven’t heard about Last Party but it’s a safe bet.

Yukimura is easily the best character. I wish they would have made it a lot longer than 13 episodes though. It seemed to skip around a lot. At least it felt that way to me.
The only thing I really hated about it is Kasuga and Kenshin. OMG HE TOUCHED ME! ORGGAASSSMMM.
Dumb and not needed. I hate Kasuga in general though. So…absolutely nothing she does will ever matter to me.
Funimation’s Youtube page had (still has?) a shit-ton of full-length episodes from both seasons up, some even subbed. I couldn’t make it through more than 2 eps :lol:. Maybe I’m just getting old. Intros were badass, but that holds true for many cartoons.
Might check out the movie though, since it has Ieyasu & should result in him punking everyone else.
I personally thought the dub wasn’t that bad, only thing that I’m saddened about was that they couldn’t get Reuben Langdon to voice Masamune in the anime as well. And what the fuck at Keiji’s dub voice in the anime… his dub voice in the game was so much better. :shake:

ok the dub for this is easily the worst shit ever, sorry gents but i can’t even get behind it even being “better than nothing.” it’s fucking hot garbage, but not even worthy of the whole word garbage. it’s hot garbo.
edit: i’m sorry if anyone in here is deaf when they comment on shit like this, but in no way is it acceptable to a person who can hear the voice actors fuck the entire series up.

Mitsunari is actually the one that defeats the ressurected Nobunaga at the end. When the movie ends Date, Yukimura Ieyasu and Mitsunari face off against each other. Ieyasu most likely comes out the victor, at least against Mitsunari but that isn’t shown.

Copied and pasted from a post I made in the Convention Thread over at the Comic Book Forum regarding the first day of the New York Comic Con. This is just the part that has anything to do with Funimation and Sengoku Basara -
Stopped by Funimation’s booth and picked up the Trigun Badlands movie on Blu-Ray for 25! Just to point out, Capcom was selling video games at their booth. Unlike Funimation however, they were not selling the PS3 version of Sengoku Basara Samurai Heroes! Looks like since Funimation brings the anime stateside they are strongly pimping SB heh!
I spoke to a Funimation rep and asked when they are bringing out the second season of the Sengoku Basara anime. He said there’s no street date yet but a tentative date is the first week of 2012. Note once again that this a tentative date, but it’s coming next year for certain.
Next I asked him about the Sengoku Basara anime movie, Last Party. He said Funimation hasn’t locked that down yet but they are looking at it.
And finally, I know he is the wrong person to ask and the answer is no but whatevs. I asked if he heard anything from Capcom about bringing the new Sengoku Basara game, Utage stateside. He said that was a Capcom question. I told him that today I couldn’t find anyone at Capcom that was high enough to ask, even though I already know the answer is no… He said to just keep pushing them.
Just in case anyone wants to read the rest of the post I’ll place the link below. Just to note there is a bit more about a group of people who got an entire table at the con and are getting people to sign a protest against Capcom to release Mega Man Legends 3 LOL!
