Yessir!! Needed some new anime since Soul Eater, Michiko, and Gundam00 ended.
And Sengoku Basara is where its at!! I always wanted a anime based on either dynasty warriors or samurai wariors but somebody dropped the ball Koei/Tecmo!!
Anyway Capcom dropped that game Devil Kings, I picked up of course already knowing who the people are from Samurai warriors
I hear that Sengoku Basara 2 is better than the first game how come part 2 never made it here?

Hopefully Keiji Meada does his thing–I know he was a beast in the Samurai Warrior games for the peeps that played Sengoku Basara 2 is he a beast in the game?
Sengoku Basara 2/Heroes are good games. Seems they didnt even try to bring 2 to the states since Devil Kings did pretty bad (and the voice acting was bad).
I’ve been watching the series. Its pretty damn beast by far.

Nagamasa Azai and Oichi. If all goes to plan like the games…this episode is going to be amazing. <3 Oichi’s VA.
Well, he has one of the more larger weapons in the game which means that his attacks can cover a lott of range, and unlike Tadakatsu, he’s a bit more faster than the lumbering mech (but is still kind of slow compared to a few others). So yeah, he is pretty good there.

BOO on them having KG job to Masamune.
Honestly, I can understand that this show is going to be about making sure the Yukimura and Masamune fangirls are pleased, but really, did they NEED to have it so that the two have some sort of “anti-jobber” aura that prevents them from losing? I would have rather had the vagabond of the Maeda house give the Dokuganryu a solid spanking, just so that KG would have been able to drive the point home that much better.
Ah well…hopefully, if the BASARA anime gets a second season, my boy Hideyoshi will appear, and that particular arc could focus more on KG and Hideyoshi + Hanbei being at each other’s throats.[/details]
Any way, this is a good show thus far. Bit surprised that they’ve killed off 3 characters already, though. That’s the kinda stuff that could have been reserved for “filler”, easily!
On another note, any body playing “Battle Heroes” on the PSP? It’s a fun diversion for those who like BASARA, and also dig Gundam vs. style play.
I mean, sure, it’s no SB3 (we’re still waiting on that), but it’ll do for now, in my opinion.

Yeah I was kinda miffed that it didn’t end in a tie either. Keiji Yukimura and Masamune are supposed to be the 3 way axis of equal strengths last I remembered…then again I don’t think Keiji showed fought like we know he can, he was pretty focused on talking some sense into Masamune, he didn’t even use of his techniques, I think it was a test of strength and Masamune caught him by surprise by going all Mag-Fuckin-Neto on him…and performing wardance in midair. Keiji was all like “O.o WTF HAX!”[/details]

On a different “this series is awesome!” note, is anyone else a huge fan of the opening? The song, choreographed dancing soldiers, character art all serve to get you pumped up for the coming insanity.
