I’m taking the game if you pause, unless it’s IMMEDIATELY after the game starts and no one has taken damage yet, or you’re a REAL good friend.
BTW this is another reason new guys padwarrioring it should move on to stick: You can either get a TE with a button lock, or a custom stick with a recessed button so you cannot hit start unless it’s deliberate. If you’re playing on 360 even if you plug your pad in, it’s communicating wirelessly to the system and any random other padwarrior pressing start can accidentally pause your game (This happened to me at Evo 2k9, I almost got disqualified from MY game because some padwarrior forgot to un-sync his pad from my system and made it look like I was pausing…)
My goal is Future lol. I think this is like the 10th time I lose to him in tournaments. I just want to beat him some day… just one day.
Regarding Honda, I start the match off and lose like half my health at the start, and then I’m like “shit!, play it safe!”, which translates to me trying to get back a life lead the entire round.
Expecting a LOL smiley face reply from Future here lol
Yeah, once again, sorry. I normally play with a PS3 pad and had only ever played with a stick the night before. I haven’t actually used a stick since I used to play Tekken 3/Tag/4 and they had the pause button on the face. The TE sticks have the pause button right where I kept putting my hand to move the stick back in my lap after losing a character (did it a bunch of times the night before too). I accidentally taunted against someone else, which is not quite as bad.
When I paused against Wenzel, I immediately turned to the guys commentating and said “2-0” and started getting up but Wenzel told me to play it out, so I did.
let me just say that im not butt hurt or anything about getting paused on, since they werent during crucial match moments, but i just thought that since there are so many new faces at these tournies that the common policies should just be mentioned. that’s all
Yo what’s up with the way you show the brackets in between matches? Purple blocks all over the place, some filled some not…iono. Everytime I see them I wonder why…just some thoughts.
The way the brackets work, is I try to fill them in real time, However this tournament I had to fill them in with the info I got, which probably wasn’t the best.
And the brackets really come in to play with Top 8 unless its teams then its Top 4
Its mostly meant to show the stream viewers, now that I got my recording machine back up and going with me to tournaments AKA actually remembering a stupid ass USB cable.
Would you prefer a different color scheme or a different setup? I’m listening Mr. RCW Mo.tnMuggish
Haha, I just mean the actual visual presentation of it is…odd. At a glance. Easy enough to figure out, but I feel like the classic bracket lines might be better than just the floating boxes?
Just a question to both Black Travis and Zaba, if you guys could pm me your names (first and last) as well as tag that you go by, that would be great. Trying to keep good stat tracking and everything like that going.
Sorry for the lack of updates. I’ve been traveling and have had spotty internet access. This is happening on the 23rd. I’ll update the post when I get home.
First post is updated. A couple of changes for this event:
-I still need 8 consoles. However, we’re gonna go back to it being Xbox only. Sorry ps3 folks, but given the size of the event it keeps scheduling matches a lot simpler.
-I also need another laptop to run tio off of. This should make recording results and scheduling matches for both games a whole lot smoother.
