What i try to do is apply everything i do in training mode to arcade mode. when i can do my tricky combos in arcade mode then i know i’m good to go out and handle business. In no way do i expect arcade mode to prepare me for the random annoying tactics of scrub players(i.e. blackheart sj>demons>dash back> demons> captain commando>repeat) Someone above wrote that you should recruit someone to play with you if you can. i did and that helped me alot. I would try to be up there on friday all the time and try to network with the good players. Until marvel is online… people like us have to suffer.
its really your best bet to train with someone who is better than you. you learn from them. play like thousands of matches and depending on yourself you will see how well you can adapt. Training mode is excellent practice in so that it gives you better execution in your lengthy combos or whatever it is that you have problem executing. Also TM is great for advance tactics such as guard breaks and unblockables, abuse the manual select.( use a rubber band to hold the P2’s block backwards)
I can tell you that it took me 3 years of playing this game competitively to fulling understand everything there is to know. You will be able to predict throws and when to throw and tech hit, know which attack beats what, and play safe runaway. The most important aspect about this game or any game is learn to BLOCK. Magnetos are very very fast these days. Use magnus and see for yourself. Last but not least watch dozens of vids on youtube, it will help your game. X copy combos you think will be effective.
Hmmmm…Tried going to Circle Center? I used to play against a few guys there who totally owned me,and they used all top tiers…then again,I suck,so maybe that won’t help much. Anyway, just a thought!
actually i know those guys. those were the guys i was talking about. they keep training as well and have gotten a lot better. So even tho i’ve gotten better they haven’t stopped either. i just need to go up there more often.
