Although, I do agree that characters look somewhat mobile right now, I think they are intentionally tyring to make sure, no more “Magneto Madness”… For example, there is a delay apparently on your attack out of an air dash. They said you can still triangle jump ala Marvel, but your character won’t attack until they hit the ground because the delay. Apparently they implemented this delay rule, to prevent ROM infinites on standing opponents. (and to reduce instant overhead crazyness)

Plus, they limited your mobile options in the air. If you double jump, you will not be able to air dash. If you air dash, you will not be able to double jump.

Of course all this is from a game early in development, but I’ve never seen a game this restrictive in the start, open up so much later. Especially when some changes are made in a counteractive retrospect to the previous game. This is the same company who said “variable launchers were too confusing to noobs, and made people feel stupid” so… it seems they are trying to eliminate the stuff that destroys casual gamers and prevents them from playing again. ROM’s, IAD spam, instant overheads to death… were not very enjoyable to casual gamers.

Not trying to be a johnny buzz kill here McBayerz… just saying. Don’t get your hopes of for MvC2 Magneto rushdown. They are purposely implementing things to prevent that. Right now, it’s looking more like MvC2 “Ryu rushdown” … :shake:

He mentioned the similarities and differences between 2 and 3 and how it uses things from TvC (mostly) and GG//BB. Good read, and I will take what he says into consideration being that he is an actual marvel players. Read it, it is really good.

Jive: I did some research on that Waluigi stage and talked to my bro and once I saw it everything came back. I “HAVE” played in that stage numerous times. My brother and I started talking about it and everything came back. So yes I can give some insite on the stage. Getting stars is a bitch though because if you get unlucky you might get stuck never evening going to the same area the star is at.

All the Versus games work like that, it was a programming shortcut. (^.^) That said, it had a strategic advantage…and no, MvC3 seemed to push people away no matter what, even during Shinkuu Hadoken or blockstrings. You should be able to find that in videos somewhere.

Honestly, MvC3’s biggest strength is the combination of the currently popular Capcom brand with the currently popular Marvel brand, leading to a game that will make Capcom tons of money no matter how good it is. It could tank in the competitive scene like TvC, but the characters and distractingly-busy backgrounds will keep regular people buying it. I know from experience that lots of people will mistake a pretty game for a good one.
If you meant gameplay strength, I respectfully refuse to answer the question.

I actually said something similar to the last part. I really hope the game picks up competitively, no matter what your opinion is on it for competition hopefully it still has very entertaining matches. Some games just don’t have a watch factor to them.

I find it cool also that finding things out right off the back that deadpool’s assist was the best from the demos (I read this from Mike Z and and a few reports from people who played). I’m a big fan of Wade Wilson (Deadpool) so anything that makes him great is good in my book.

man you call back when im busy, im usually free after 1 pm and before 5pm, i know it aint much but it is to me, anyways GG’s to toad today, i went to bville to get some games in and so far ssf4 is fun but i still hate balrog though :/, lets see if we can play this weekend guys
