Maybe because she’d rather be friends? It doesn’t really matter why she said that, because when a girl says she is done, she’s done and all the reasoning in the world isn’t going to do you squat.
Maybe he smothered her, maybe he’s never around, maybe she’s seeing someone else, maybe she just go bored, or whatever. There’s a million different reasons as to why she would say that, but again, figuring it out isn’t going to bring her back to him.
It isn’t gonna bring her back but she should’ve at least told him why. I could care less when a girl says she is done, any girl owes it to the guy to explain why things aren’t working out.

Stewing in the break up or trying to figure out what went wrong doesn’t do anything but keep you from going out and finding someone else. It’s polite and considerate to give an explanation, but it will ultimately do nothing for you to know what happened (unless the breakup was your fault). Spend that time doing something productive, like trying to get with one of her hot friends or something.
To be fair, I should have mentioned this. I live at my parents’ house. She met both of my parents like 4 months ago and saw each other every time we hung out pretty much.
I’m pretty sure I did nothing wrong, but I have no idea. It’s like she was very into me the last night we saw each other, then a couple days later is distant and getting very flaky. As an update, she called me today and said, “We never hang out any more” and “It just doesn’t feel the same” as reasons for the breakup. Not sure how it doesn’t feel the same in a two week span where you’re actively avoiding someone.

No, it’s not like she has ever said anything before. I’ve just sometimes gotten the feeling she wasn’t cut out for a relationship. That’s sort of what she said today, too. She said she really wasn’t girlfriend material, which I might sort of agree with. She also doesn’t enjoy sex in general, (I know you’ll all rag on me for that, but whatever) and that’s a big thing for me, so maybe it’s good that it ended.
Doesn’t mean I’m not upset though. It sort of hasn’t sunk in yet though, because I don’t feel that different. Maybe because she’s been distant for a little while. BLAH
From experience , Usually Most girls that cant stand sex, at one time or another have been molested when they were younger, and or can only Enjoy sex drunk , You would be surprised How many have these symptoms !!! and You would be surprised how many have had some uncle or step brother or some weirdo Ruin them from sober sex for the rest of there lives !!!
You’d be surprised how many women in their 20s or younger just don’t enjoy sex that much. Most women don’t really come online and start really enjoying sex until like their mid/late-20s. Ever wonder why it’s like pulling teeth trying to get a 19-year old girl into bed, but their mom’s are always already wet and ready to go? Testosterone hasn’t kicked in all the way yet.
As for not being “girlfriend material”, that’s fancy talk for she doesn’t have her stuff together yet. It takes some time alone to get yourself properly situated and to be comfortable in your own skin.
