If by strategy you mean *Jump in Fierce/Roundhouse, sweep, jump backwards, fireball (repeat). Yeah, hardly “strategic” in any sense. The game is full of scrubs, but there are some excellent players.
The game has skills and players who think that’s skills are way off. Everyone assumes fireball/traps are gonna work LOL! I have ways around around hadokens with Turbo Rog in Hyper SF2. Low Fierce stops jump ins although I’ll admit Ken has a good jumping fierce (Champion-ST) and Turn Punch thru hadokens followed up by a Dash Punch takes care of that. And besides there’s ways around stuff in old school SF.
All you gotta know is that if you were playin on live, you’d be running most of the people on there.
This guy used Chun against my honda yesterday, That match is pretty much lopsided for chun in every SF, and yet I ran the guy. People jump so damn much all you need is a good anti air and you win.
I figure I would run those guys. Gotta play the FNG crew can’t play against Shotos all day. I had a few matches against Doug in Hyper Sf and we had a match were he had HF ryu against my ST Ryu. Different results as well because me throwing fireballs at close range would lead into him doing a hurricane kick which either would trade hits or him going thru it. It was still in his favor regardless because trading hits would give him the advantage because HF Ryu takes more.

Well it’s not that everyone uses shotos, but damn near everyone picks ST characters. I did play someone real good yesterday, they picked HF Ryu and HF Gief and we doin some damn good rushdown with em. I hear people like to pick Akuma too, but I haven’t seen anyone.
I gave SvC a try online…I did 4 matches. 1 was against Iori, 2 were Shin Akumas, and 1 was Shin Karate. I guess you can set it to only fight normal characters, but apparently most people moved on to SF anniversary anyway.
Well the only arcade left in Detroit is at Wayne State University, we have a nice selection of opponents except in Marvel 2 in which case we have 1. :sad: If you don’t like our sticks, we also have 2 tvs so console play is an option. Just pm me or post if you want to hook up. So we can line something up!!!
If you end up getting a live kit, you may want to look into the crimson skies pack-one of those free range flying shooters. It’s pretty cool online, too.

Also I go to wayne state all the time now cause they have both tekken 5 and cvs 2 for only a quarter well… a token its pretty good comp in both games, so Ship shape if you wanna hook up sometime pm somebody so we can get it started. I 4got what u said u play but hopefully its 1 of those 2, I also play mvc2 but I don’t know if playin there is such a good choice being that no 1 really plays at wsu.
