Yeah that’s a lot of whining for a girl that claims to be indifferent, and is trying to act the part of a liberated independent woman. She caught some feelings and obviously can’t handle alcohol. The people who write and enforce these laws never go to clubs. Hookup culture is primarily for poorer, younger people. So they never think of these things, they’re thinking of house parties for the wine and cheese crowd when they write these rules. They’re the type of people that think sex is something you do once every month or two. A lot of times it’s angry feminists who hate heterosexual relationships to begin with.

These laws won’t change until women as a whole decide they want them changed. Because men certainly don’t have the power to do it.

i mean, not that this argument i am about to say hasnt been said to death, but you cannot just wakeup next to some guys, do not remember the night, and assume THEY drugged you, and THEY raped you. there are plenty of times ive been out drinking with ex’s, we come home and freak, i drunkenly pass out naked, then wakeup in the morning like, WHOA SHIT, what happened, then i start to piece together the night if i can. im not saying these girls may not have been drugged, but there is no evidence that the men you went home with, who let you sleep in their beds (because thats the smartest thing to do if you drugged some girls and took advantage of them. its not to send them off in a cab back home where they can forget the night, but to let them sleep it off next to you. im sure thats happened before, and does, but thats a really stupid thing to do) actually drugged you, and to their knowledge werent involved in consensual sex.

i assume the toxicology report probably came back negative on any drugs used to disable them, considering it wasnt brought up really, and it was just some drunk girls and some drunk guys hooking up, then the drunk girls spazzing out when they woke up naked the next day not knowing where they were. i wonder if they even talked to the guys, or just woke each other up and ran out thinking they had been raped. i mean could there be a possibility that these dudes took some fairly drunk girls home and took advantage of them while they were passed out, sure, but i would need more details on the case.

also imo, there needs to be some guidelines on what if both of the parties are drunk and consent. i mean, its like the cop said, you made a mistake, thats life. too bad this is such an old case, id like to know more about it, but whatever. im sure they went through the basic toxicology report, rape kit, interrogation process, and if after that they have no evidence to charge someone, then thats that. all that nonsense about police abuse is blah. i think the officer was just a little irritated after the fact of the investigation that you girls went out for some partying and drinking, had some drunken sex with some guys, and now youre trying to say they raped you because you do not remember the night. like the officer said, they get these cases a lot, and its not rape, its regret.
