[details=Spoiler] Well I talked to a professor from the 4 year college here a of couple weeks ago.
I explained to her my situation, how long I’ve been out of school, no ACT, etc.
to not write out a long story she basically said this.
Go to community college first, take all the remedial courses and the courses for your major.
That way you get refresher courses and learn things you may not have learned while in grade school.
Take the act during your time in cc, apply to four year college after.
Last thing she said was:
'I didn’t know your mother, but I’m pretty sure she is very proud of you getting yourself back into school and making it easier for you to take care of yourself. "
“was everything I said understood? don’t be discouraged, I don’t want you divin into deep water and sinking.”
"you take care of yourself you hear?"
that was it.
So I got to thinking over the days that followed, I already had a feeling It would be best for me to go to cc first.
She and other college educated people told me similar things, so it doesn’t take a gun to the head for me to get that.
new plan of action and career came to mind right after that.

I’ve thought about going into nursing, my mom was a CNA for many years, she talked about going back to become a full fledged RN, or going take the 2 year program and being an LPN.

So I told myself why not pick up where she left off? she was amazing in that field, her bed side manor couldn’t be beat. She was loved by her boss’s and patients.

So I plan on switching my major when I get back into cc in the fall, I was a computer networking major my short time there. I plan to switch to LPN, take all the courses and pass.

Then apply to the bridge program at four year college, you basically go for a year and a half to two years and you’re a full fledged RN.

Next would be to get a Masters, Become a Nurse Practitioner, and eventually get My PhD in the field.
make some serious paper and help a lot of people n the process. [/details]
I think I’ll end up with a black woman, and she’ll be completely opposite of what I envision in my head but I’ll be extremely happy.
