Sorry, but I put Missy above most of these prime time hoes. She did “her”; wasn’t trying to be like anyone else. She ALWAYS had something for the radio and the streets on most of her albums.

Play this song with a mean sub…instant back massage.
Kzoh, part of what makes a person a good speaker is the ability to be both genuine and passionate. This seems natural for you because you come off as very honest. However that’s only half the battle. You need to be concise. The more concise you are, the better you will be able to hold the attention of your audience. The less structured you are, and the more you ramble, the less you can keep their attention. Some people avoid structure, because they think it makes what they say less genuine, but that’s foolish. You don’t need a pre-written speech so much as a simple outline of points you want to cover.
Your biggest strength is honesty. Greatest weakness is structure. If you improve your structure, and avoid verbal fillers like “uh” et cetera, you’ll do well.
Bad example. Villains by nature are given more power than protagonists. Otherwise they’re not a threat. Protagonists aren’t supposed to be outright as powerful as villains.
Remember the Titans was based on a true story. How much autonomy can you expect a Black man to have in desegregated Virginia in 1971?
I tried to give Gambino a chance, I tried the Culdesac mixtape, very underwhelmed by it… but at least he has the comedy thing going for him
Listen to Camp, or his EP. that’ll change your opinion lol
Musically, the EP and Camp are a noticeable (albeit little) come up from Culdesac. Lyrically, they’re about the same IMO. I really like them all, but that’s just how I feel.
I’d recommend Not Going Back from the EP. That was my favorite song from it. It might serve as a tester for you; if you don’t like that song, then maybe Gambino’s going to stay underwhelming to you. Though, with that said, the EP is free and Camp isn’t hard to find for free either.
my favorite from camp:

and this one is pretty good too:

thats why im confused why you listed him. people are literally just listing movies he did rather than those that fit the description of freedom.
I went to houston with my dad to pick up my grnadmother and aunts. Never went in the bush airport, only picked up people in the front. very nice, they were in cali, san bernadino.
on the road on the way home.

he has an audience clearly since all his shows have been selling out.
umm…not really.
and as someone said, “purely good” characters by their very nature aren’t usually out there doing super bad ass shit.
I’m just hoping that tour money isn’t being hacked to death by costs (he’s financing it himself IIRC).
The Camp album was my first impression of him, actually. I mean, I like Bonfire, and Heartbeat is kind of catchy in an awkward way, but the whole album jumps everywhere musically so I’m not getting a sense of consistency. Bonfire played, and I was like, “okay, this was good so I’m looking forward to the next song!” and then it goes into this little ballad All the Shine and I’m like… huh? And basically my ‘meh’ attitude persisted for the rest of the album.
I tried what you guys have suggested… just not doing it for me. I have nothing against his fans or anything like that I’m just not one.
But I digress… trying to go way back and find me some KMD and Monsta Island Czars floating around the internet… I feel lowkey dumb for only listening to Doomsday and Mm Food for the longest time…
Culdesac was sick. I actually play it more than CAMP. Gambino’s wordplay>>>>>>. But Not liking Kendrick? BLasphemy. And about Freddie Gibbs, he BEEN puttin out heat.

At 1:34 you can hear him say “I’m gonna fucking kill this shit.” I swear that track gave him 45% more fans. And Hardcore was dope. No matter how huge Biggie’s hand was in it.

LORD KNOWS…Hype Williams fell off. Can’t believe that’s the same man who made Belly.
i mean…i’d hardly cite belly as hype’s crowning acheivement, but is he still making videos?
New track off upcoming album The Next Logical Progression by Gift of Gab (from Blackalicious). I kinda dislike the little hook but otherwise solid track imo.
