The Rap Thread: News, Reviews, Rants & Opinions: Volume 9 - Yes, we know "Hip Hop"

Just Picked up Young Jeezy new album TM103 Hustlers ambition. Im Gonna say it prolly Bit better then the 2nd and 3rd album he dropped. Check it out…

I got pun nem Im talking like late 80s to 95 acts

Man, it would be funny as shit, but at the same time terrible if niggas started dressing like Kool Moe D and them niggas like they’re bringing that shit back.

I would quit life immediately.

I told yall to put Drake in the new threads title…

:::MEANWHILE:::

How do we feel about suburban white girls who obviously grew up influenced by hip hop, and incorporate that into their pop music? I’m not talking about that Kreyshawn shit, but more along the lines of the white girls that have been given accepted into black culture like Christina Aguilera, Gwen Stefani and Fergie? This new girl Karmin I really dig her style she got her own little lane right now.

And secretly she NICE lol.

karmin can get it. fuck. i will find this girl and wife her…shes from mass and i want to put it in her sooo badly lol.

gwen stefani never really incorperated hip hop into her style really. i think black people just have a serious no doubt guilty pleasure…plus those eve joints def helped haha.

watching that karmin vid makes me hear alot of gwen in her.

I think we need to quit giving passes to them we got broads thinking they can just borrow bits and pieces and keep it moving.Rock doesn’t just give passes to folks we shouldn’t either

No Doubt started as a Ska band (mash-up of reggae and punk). So it was a reggae influence rather than a hip-hop influence but hell starting in the late 90s everybody was throwing a little hiphop into their sound.

She can and will get fucked but its just a time waster
those songs I only like the beat and I’m board of lil waynes 1+1 = 2 rap (example: I go to church, forgive me for my sins, excuse me for being a christian.) haha
That chick singing those songs does nothing for me, its like, watch my impression of lil wayne.

Hip hop to broad of a genre now
you have soooooo may types of rappers bundled in hip-hop/rap that is dilutes it

Big difference between Gwen (solo) and No doubt.
No doubt is SKA (genre of punk) and its nothing like that chick.

ps… shout out to file sharing on AIM

Ska used to be a genre of Jamaican music wasn’t really punk til like bad brains started incorporating it into their sound of I reall right

Pale white girls used to turn me on, not anymore, gotta have some color, I’m more particular on the looks of a white chick than a black chick.

I think in america, You will find it under Punk, just like you will find drake under rap/ hip-hop next to the wiz kalifa, the willow smith, and Run’s son

Music changes, it was more punk for a while. (especially if you include global bands

Anyways, I find Gwens’ music to have more meaning behind it, this chick is ok for now

y’all in here talking about smashing ole girl, I’m stating my opinion of her, chick is ghostly white.

depends on the record store…bigger chains have never had a ska section. alot of them dont even have a punk section it’ll generally be listed as rock.

yo. who got that new TIP mixtape? shit go hard.

Right
and I could care less… I didn’t know it had a jamican back ground but it got fused with punk music (bands like SkA- P)

Which brings my back to point of Hip-hop -Rap not being diverse enough
the difference between those 2 if there was one is gone to me

I could care less about her skin if her titties, ass, face, body is toned up brah

i did, and i was hella surprised by it. tip def came back with all guns blazing.

chick is regular imo. more for y’all.
