drake could def get at common and has the skill to do so (and the ammo). i’m not a drake fan by any stretch of the imagination (again, i don’t think his music targets us…its for the females and i can respect that) but he has skill.
on the other hand, i’m a common fan…and support beef in hip hop because it makes things interesting and somebody needed to say something about how soft hip hop is. and at least two dudes that are capable of entertaining lyrically will go at it.
drake is soft but common has made soft stuff too, so…
shrugs
if drake doesn’t go at common directly then i don’t want to hear it tho.
Koop nailed it: the same people buying Drake albums don’t know who Common is, and the irony is that “I Used to Love H.E.R.” is probably more relevant now than it was when it was released.
I know you didn’t put Just Wright on blast though. OK, so my girl made me watch it, but that movie had heart.
Edit: I should note that I’m from a generation that “shouldn’t” even know that song, and from a city that “should” be riding Drake until we die, but only one of them has said anything that meant anything to anyone other than themselves.
Well we all know birdman doesn’t dabble in rap battles. If it was legit beef then slim woulda been gave the go head or squashed this shit.this is pretty much a rap battle that nigga only knows street shit or southern style actuall hood beefs.
He don’t intend to get into it because he knows its just on wax, for all the downy soft Drake walks on, Common aint exactly ‘Blackchild’ or TI. It would never get to ‘any’ level of real confrontation.
Baby also knows this will do nothing but bolster Drake long term. If he can get at Common for real for real - then Drake’s cash machine levels up. It will expand Drake’s audience as his respect grows. so Patrick is gona let Lil Jimmy try and stand up for himself
"AND IF THE NINJA DON’T WIN THEN WE ALL JUMP IN"
Baby simply remembers how much money he lost out on beefin with Master P on some back end shyt…so i know his mentality has changed. “never got into records like that” ??? really baby? their first major break out was a DISS record, lmao DRAG EM TO THE RIVER??
cash money is a army
stuntin
balla blockin
hot boy
an many many many more
lmao… no no no no no…game recognize game. He simply knows how much money was lost doin that dumb shyt. It is PLENTY of stories on how both camps wanted to work with each other… mannie an mia x are like damn near brother an sister… MAC was a homie wit BG… fiend knew turk and juvenile on a very close basis (i actually think kin… i may be corrected)… did you not see how happy mystikal was to actually be able to chop it up wit this guy lmao hell i believe in that infamous video mystikal was like ‘man this been a long time coming i felt like i couldnt come over your house at times’…
Does Common still got ties strong in the Chi to the point Drake can’t go there anymore? Wonderin if Slim could even stand to them GDisciples or P-Stones
But this is a vid of Kanye playin Jay Big Brother for the first time (with a new beat) and making his verse for Barry Bonds

QUICK! BEFORE IT GETS TAKEN DOWN LIKE THE MAKING OF NIGGAS IN PARIS VID. 2007 Big Sean is there too
I’ll be honest, having not followed what went down in Gangstarr’s later days, I was surprised to learn about all of the bad blood between Preemo and Guru at the end of his life. If that interview was the truth, I’m disappointed to learn Preemo played his cards like that, but what am I going to say? At the end of the day he still produced some of the most timeless beats the game’s ever seen. I don’t know how to feel about that, really.
Edit: Regarding what Shervin posted, that didn’t even really burn, but it’s not hard to take shot a 2 bit Toronto wanksters. Everyone in TO will take shots at Drake because he’s in the spot they want. He’s just the most visible guy in this city, and working with Bishop is smart because him and Organik built KotD, which has grown astronomically as a battle league. It’s not hard for Drake to pick one trifling bum and knock them back into obscurity.
Also, I’ll be the first person to say where you’re from doesn’t make or break your flows, but come on, Forrest Hill?
