That’s some Lil B/BasedGOD/Ellen Degeneres/BasedVeli/Paris Hilton shit

Yo Luda is dissing the hell outta Field Mob…

“You sign to a nigga, who’s signed nigga, who’s signed to another niggathe fuck”(Field Mob signed to T-Pain)
“Smart move, boy you dumb as hell, you should take your soul and have an end of the summer’s sale”
“All your records are my theme songswhy? cuz I’m still shopping off your RINGTONES”

More quotables there’s just too many… Ludacris knows how to battle…

One more question yall.

In your city how many black owned businesses are there?

Yo I may be late on this but my 2nd favorite producer and Gibbs are releasing an EP together. http://www.hiphopdx.com/index/news/id.17677/title.freddie-gibbs-madlib-to-release-madgibbs-ep?utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter

@Kzoh - yo man honestly I am not sure, because a lot of his stuff is kind of all over the place. he does a lot of minimal and techy stuff. But I will get back to you on that.

Time for some hearty Gourmet Rap, no artificial fillers or MSG:

Inspired me to start compiling a directory of black owned businesses nationwide. There are directories out there but most are either outdated and/or confusing. In my town of Ann Arbor, which is a predominantly white town, all there is, is a barbershop. The next city over Ypsilanti, it’s a little better but not by too much.

I think it’s bullshit that pretty much everybody is caking off of black people but black people:

After I finish school in a year I’m going to start a black hair care business.

Isnt there this one black family who owns a hair relaxer company? Don’t know if they old it tho.

Well there are few in the DMV. BUt from what I see, most of the business are usually owned by foreigners. Most of the businesses own by blacks here are soul food restaurants, hood clothing stores, some barbershops, and a few contracting places.

Is the DMV mostly black? I’m assuming it is but I don’t know.

I don’t really care if foreigners run and control their own communities and markets, but when you have cities like Detroit which are 80% black, but foreigners and non-blacks control 95% of the business that’s when I see a problem.

There was a study last year or so that said black americans are worth about 1 trillion dollars which would mean if we were our own nation we would be like the 10 richest nation in the world. But the problem arises when we spend our money outside of our communities. That money is being taken out of our communities and placed in someone else’s. Like when I buy gas at an arab owned gas station he’s taking that money sending it back home to Saudi Arabia or someplace to bring more of his peeps over to open more gas stations.

Anyway, I’ll get off my soapbox now, but if anyone is interested this is by far the best video I’ve seen of improving black economics in America.

I know I’m jock riding heavy at this point, but did anyone see Donald Glover’s stand up special that premiered last night on Comedy Central? I didn’t. How was it? I’m asking because my DirectTv is off and CC is kinda “stingy” about showing specials anyway. My standard connect for watching TV on the internet (motionempire) probably won’t have it up for a while.

Yeah, I know there’s a stand-up comedy thread where I could have asked this. That thread moves slower than this one though.

In NC I know of a couple of small businesses ran by blacks my wife has her own business; but mostly whites down here. Blacks have the traditional stores that Gimpy mentioned, as well as Mary Kay and those "sexual toys, slumber party* things

insurance companies, schools, law firms, construction/contract agencies, a bunch of blue collar businesses.

finally got around to listening to Cold Corner 2. sounds pretty solid to me (good production and banks spits like he’s supposed to). I’m diggin’ the last track a lot (Come Up) but for the most part I’ve ran thru the whole tape a few times in the past couple days w/no skips.

Cold Day In Hell is still smooth. the only track I don’t like is Twos and Fews cuz it feels outta place. Section.80 doesn’t get old. Return of 4eva gettin’ me hyped for that album tho.

my friends are hooked on Drake’s new album. the way I see his album is as an R&B first, rap second (barely) album, or a combination of the two. plus, I notice the trend of music ppl I know listen to is simpin’ music so I guess that’s why they like it. Cameras is pretty nice.

I heard Yelawolf’s album got leaked(?). I might try to look for it later today.

bout to check out Luda’s tape and The Layover in a minute.

Toys For Twats

Freddie Gibbs is dropping a EP with Madlib soon…:wow:
