Yeah I went ahead and DLed his mixtape to hear a bit more…he’s working with something in there, though he needs work diversifying his delivery a little bit more…its unique - its like Jay-Z’s “talking to you” delivery, but chopped up a bit like he’s doing rapid fire…but its not rapid fire. IT works 75% of the time, he needs to stop chopping for the other 25%. Mos def a good listen, and hearing that track @ 320kbps was so much better than the video in the whip heh.

I’ve said that forever, I don’t understand why anyone would want a Mac from a cost/performance stand point - they do have some advantages, but in the scheme of things they still aren’t ‘legit’ to me as functioning office equipment. HP is a joke though. Build your own. Its easy as HELL to do these days…its braindead now…processors only fit in one way, there is no chip creep, slots are color coded and boards only go in one way, cables go in one way, newer standards don’t follow the slave/master convention, the only hard part is doing the research the first time to order the right components. I built my first in 99 and its only gotten easier since then.

Also if you’re in the financial situation you’ve be talking about - you can’t afford the Apple tax. Get a PC laptop to get you thru school, an el cheapo. Clear it and secure it yourself or have a tech friend do that for you to get rid of the shit they dump on pre-built systems. Unless you have specific software to run at school that really taxes a computer, you don’t need a laptop that retails for more than 400-500 bux. You simply need the office suite to run at full speed, and if that can happen, then you can get IE/Chrome/Opera/FF to run at ful lspeed - and you’re good. Oh and I’m sure that some of us in the thread would even be able to help with any of that. SRK we the best…

Yo man I have both a macbook and a vaio, and I use my vaio tons more than the macbook. I suggest going PC simply because it is more versatile. Since there will no longer be mac books, your only choice in the mac family is to get a mac book air or a pro, and both start at 1k. Its funny that you ask that because in one of my class everyone has a mac book pro. I have used macs my whole life, but I must admit that macs are good for doing music production and the like, but outside of that I still feel that PC is better. Too many hoops to jump through to get ish running on a mac.
Just bought Nappy Roots new album…its completely produced by Organized Noise…I’ll let ya’ll know how good it is…

ah I agree with you there. Serato runs loads better on a mca, but honestly that is really the only reason why I use my mac, which is only for music and graphic design.
