I mean, its dangerous as hell to be walking around this part of my city at night, but it gets dark so early and I need stuff, I have no choice. I wish I could legally carry a concealed piece just in case.
you dont want that first and foremost… everyone wants a weapon but not knowing how to use it gets you fucced up… trust me carrying a 3 an a quarter to a 4lb gun … removing… unlocking safety and knowing to take your threat down during a HOSTILE situation is hard an if your not BUILT for it youngblood then you cant…
next you need to learn street knowledge… i dont know ya path or where you roam but you need to set multiple routes… also u need to get to know people in ya neighborhood… not on a person tip but visually recognize folks…just like u do in the barbershop… the store you frequent know the people… corner hustlers… say what up as you walk by…
i know todays kids are fucced up in the head… but you can show fear an you need to know this… muthafuccaz in groups dont do shyt unless u respond. the muthafuccaz in twos u keep an eye on… dont flash loot but keep money in ya wallet (a few dollars)… an always know the fastest route to ya house. also how good are you with your hands (knuckle up… fighting…)
I can’t fight and I was sheltered most of my life by my mom, so all of this living in the hood stuff is new to me, I’ve always lived in prominently white neighborhoods. I always nod or speak to the folk I pass by, the route I took is the fastest way back to my crib. The other ways are longer and more people frequent them. Especially Moling st, that’s like the joint you don’t want to be on once the street lights come on. All the dealers and fiends are on there.
