i must say i never rreally listened to him. But i will buy his album just off sheer gp. he was humble, introduced his entire band, made sure they got applause, ripped the show, played live music. his saxaphone chick did a solo. just he is ok with me now . alicia was more diva esque and was kinda everywhere. HEr piano parts was the best part of the show. Just wasn’t expecting a beyonce like performance from her. She didn’t do bad, just i liked her more on the piano.
No shots whatsoever were meant to be thrown, I’m just saying that DJing has become billion times more accessible for the average joe, so there are an overabundance of “meh” DJs that will work for table scraps. DJs don’t even have to go buy and carry crates of records anymore, you just hop online and download any song that you want for free off of the internet. That saves the average joe a shitload of money, along with the fact that blending has become waaaaaaaaay easier because programs like Serato will organize your songs for you in BPM order. DJs used to have to memorize how many beats per minute certain songs were or physically write it on the face of the record. All of these changes have opened the floodgates for people to try out DJing and because of the over saturation, DJs don’t make as much money as they used to.
Another great example is rap, now that you can throw Pro Tools or Fruity Loops on your computer everyone can be a rapper and make their own beats all of a sudden. There’s no need for a studio and professional engineering equipment. You can make a beat, write a song, record the track and post it on Youtube for the world to hear in less than a day.
You can shake your head until you look like Michael J. Fox gettin hyphy. I bought the original release and I’m not about to drop another 15 bones on 7 new tracks. Dudes do shit like that and then wonder why they stay broke.
“Yo, I got ALL this rappers albums. Even the one’s in Japanese I can’t understand. All 48.”
“Don’t you live in your momma’s basement and rock an expired bus pass?”
“WTF does that shit have to do with anything???”

Reggie still tough but I liked the last title better.
Not shots thrown at all, I do agree with you 100%. I hear it everytime someone calls me for DJing, “DJ Such and such is only X amount, why are you more?”; “Cause I have more than an iPod”
When I get married I want a real dj,I’m in the turntablist/dj culture so no bs just playing music, you better know how to mix.Ace and all real djs/tablist deserve good pay.:bluu:
agreed. i have no idea on earth where gucci got waka flocka from. a theory i saw on another site said that it came from waka’s real name…juaquin (or however he spells it) = waka and flocka as in flaca as in flake.
