Last one was thrown in there cuz while he’s not a rage quitter, he’s a lagger who uses lag to get his wins. So be on the lookout for that scrub. does the same patterns and never blocks or really overheads, so if you’re good in lag, just block everything and punish him to shit.
First off…I’m about done with this game…so sick of the lag jumpers, rage quitters, and BS. I’m also pissed off at Capcom not giving me an opportunity to face better opponents. I don’t give a shit about points. I just want to LEARN. How can I learn in this kind of environment? It’s so frustrating when you are trying to become a solid player. I’ve played SF since birth, but I’m older now, work, completely skipped SF4 so I’m trying really hard to get back into this…ugh…rant aside…
My callout is for LengendaryOmega. He was playing Ken and not saying he was bad or laggy the whole time, just anytime I took the lead or he was about to lose the match suddenly became laggy. Like it was so obvious it’s friggin ridiculous. He took the first round from his gimmick, I barely scraped by the second round with Ryu’s jumping LK, and the third round he started lag jumping once I took the lead again.
I’m just so fucking fed up with this horse shit of a game. How the hell is anyone suppose to enjoy this unless you are a pro gamer who has a lot of friends who can jam on SF5 at YOUR HOUSE or in casuals? All the people I know are just as mediocre as I am so how the hell can I improve? I cant unless A. Capcom fixes their shit or B. by some miracle find some friends that are really good at SF5 so I can learn from my ass whoopings.

And to clarify I don’t mind losing…not saying I like it but I’m man enough to admit I got outplayed. For instance, I a couple matches ago I lost to a NEcalli player that was lower ranked than me. He kept spamming Necalli’s DP and certain jump in attacks that have priority. I adapted a little bit and almost had the win, but on the final round, on wake up he did Necalli’s super and I had Ryu’s sweep sticking out. I thought the sweep was so far in and well timed that it would somehow cancel out his super but it didn’t. I lost…I was pissed…but pissed to the point where I want to learn how to deal with spammy shit like that or certain moves I don’t know how to handle. In this current online environment I don’t feel like I can improve at all because it’s all fluff and BS. I’d rather lose from someone else being better than me then win because the connection is horse shit.
Sameeee shit with a random Laura player I just played…just magically starts teleporting once I’m winning. If I could give away my purchase of SF5 I would. I bought this through PSN. IF anyone knows a way where I can flush this piece of shit down the toilet or give it to someone in need who doesn’t know what a good fighting game experience is then please let me know.
Trust me, most of us feel you on this. Myself included. However, you should play lounges with specific players in order to learn. Don’t play ranked to learn. You learn nothing from a best of 1.

Basically this. and as a fellow Ryu player, just know you’re gonna get scrubbed out a lot and will lose a lot of ranked points from dumb shit/gimmicks/lag/zoners.
The only thing I can say is be patient and bear with it. learn the matchups like he said in battle lounge and get used to running into gimmicks since ryu literally has almost none in comparison.
Then you’re just gonna face players that block all day and are hard to get in on and will just run once they have the health lead. This is the game and this is how it’s designed to be played, so I can tell you right now if you really want to continue to play, know that and continue or choose another character/quit.
I’m going through the same stuff you’re going through and getting most of my stuff stuffed every now and then from either lag or something silly.
If you can’t get past it, give up this game, because you’ll be on a road of salt from here on out if you don’t get a grip or get better.

When I got to Gold, I just stopped playing weeks ago hoping there’d be some info about RQ punishment in the upcoming patch notes.

First time I bother with ranked in weeks, wanted to gain a good 2-3klp so I run into better opponents.
Immediately I get 2 ragequits back to back, wasn’t bothering to record but I will for next time I suppose; a 3500ish lp Necalli named Brainss, and a 3600lp Nash named Kursed_Kreature.
Amazing. When I record, nobody ragequits anymore. It’s almost like they know they’ll get caught. It seems recording is like a condom of sorts. Heh.

My goal was to lose some points so I could get the non cheaters, get my yellow “Risking it All” Title and drop rank until the rage quitting thing was fixed. Turns out they cheat in the lower levels occasionally too (but nowhere nearly as bad as the cheating I was getting earlier).
