USF4 made you lose 130bp if you disconnected. Do something similar. Ranked matches also shouldn’t be auto-accept, you should be able to see who your opponent is and how many times they rage quit.

This isn’t the first time a game company penalized players for abusing/exploiting and some of those companies banned those accounts
I’m not saying that Capcom should ban these people, but if they take away wins/rank/lp/fm then I don’t see a big deal.

You can do that with fight request. When you turn on fight request you can set the battle confirmation from “Automatic” to “Ask.”

…granted I haven’t used that yet so I don’t know what details it shows you exactly, but I’d assume player name and connection quality are a part of it.

Seems unfair for people to be punished for something that Capcom did nothing to prevent them from doing in the game.

You’re right, I do suck. I’m nowhere near good enough to be competitive at even a local tournament. And I’m fine with that, which is part of the reason I’m not compelled to quit in order to protect LP, win streaks, or avenge some insignificant slight. Instead, I take my losses and play the game.

Of course, I get upset sometimes and have to walk away from the stick for a few minutes or even just turn the game off for the night–I’m no super-calm Zen gamer. But I think that taking the win away from someone who played so well that it made me that frustrated would be the ultimate scrub move.

How is Capcom planning to punish the guilty party? By taking away their season pass or something?

I dont think capcom is going to ban anyone, I think people are going to lose their ranking points, and lose rank.

If you dont want to lose points and rank, just play casual matches, problem solved.
