Not really, more people will just have to learn how to take a loss, or just play casual matchmaking.
People need to learn they cant always win, or deserve to win. Like you are not going to get a free win if you play vs, Jwong, snake eyes, or pr-rog if you match up with them online. Or anyone else who has been in tournaments for like 10-20 years.

Yup. I’m not sure I’m going to persist in ranked due to the rage quitting. I’ll be honest, I’m not a great player (I was trying to get safer into super bronze territory until I got fed up with the situation), and my win percentage isn’t great. That makes rage quitters bad for me because I need the LP from those wins to improve/secure my position. If I’m just going to (rightly) lose LP when I’m defeated, and then get nothing a decent percentage of the time when I win, why should I even bother trying to keep playing ranked?

consecutive ragequits should be punished but there is always that one instance where you’re against a wifi user who is not using a good wifi adapter, usually without detacheable antennas or just shit ping in the hundreds lol.

OK, i tried to hold it in but im registered now to release, getting paired with the same ragequitter 3 damn times back to back named obey_gamefreak. He won first match and than it paired me with him 2 more times, he ragequitted both my wins… sigh. The next few one timers are DDase, ChaseRlewis.
You’re right, I do suck. I’m nowhere near good enough to be competitive at even a local tournament. And I’m fine with that, which is part of the reason I’m not compelled to quit in order to protect LP, win streaks, or avenge some insignificant slight. Instead, I take my losses and play the game.
Of course, I get upset sometimes and have to walk away from the stick for a few minutes or even just turn the game off for the night–I’m no super-calm Zen gamer. But I think that taking the win away from someone who played so well that it made me that frustrated would be the ultimate scrub move.
