The simplest explanation is that it was just a regular case of disconnect. You can’t say Capcom’s servers are perfect.

For example, dropping easy links and misjudging jump arcs against stationary opponents. And that’s not getting into the random slides without full V-Trigger. I can’t see how that guy would ever get out of Silver genuinely when he drops stand strong links and seemingly fails at comboing off Psycho Axe (unless those were supposed to be some super advanced CC set-ups I just don’t understand because my yomi isn’t advanced enough).
FANG can make you look like you have no idea how to play the game though. Not saying I want to defend someone who ragequits his way to Diamond (!) but against good FANG players it’s incredibly hard to get something started.
Unless you’re Cammy, then you just have to press buttons.

He won the first game because that’s what happens when you run into FANG after another month. I loved the totally unrelated lag spike after his wake-up super in round two and how he thought quitting was a better defensive move than blocking. 8 wins my butt.
The penalty is stopping nothing.
I’ve won more matches than lost today, yet dropped points. Four rage quits the last second.
This along with that bullshit connection error means that even when I win I get nothing randomly.
The Urien update brought a lot of vermin back to the game
Yesterday I beat a Super Gold Urien in raked and I didn’t got points. The Error 80003 - Failed to retrieve data pop up.
That’s not a rage quit. The game is just ass. I got it twice in casuals yesterday.

There is this one Swedish asshole by the name of ForwardDash who always rage-quits on me, spanning from SFIV to SFV.
I played him in person at Dreamhack '14 or '15 when he asked me for a game, and he took some 5 wins in a row with Sagat against Gouken on the XBox rather than the PC, and when I beat him he switched to his main Abel and beat me once then split.
That was no problem, but the problem is that he continues to rage-quit on me again in SFV since that.
ForwardDash, next time I see you, I’m going to throw a six-pack of eggs on your stupid head.
Aside from that, I just had some “rage-quitters” again in SFV just now, and they bring such fucking miserable mojo with them when they pull that plug on you.
