The Queen of MAHVELL 3!: The Morrigan GD Thread

I totally forgot…

Sadly, in these less innocent times, some things like that might not fly anymore, unlike back in the day.

I don’t think Captain America is the one she’s going to molest.

Sigh…

to bad lilith doesnt appear in her level 3 super(what the hell were they thinking)-__-

They were thinking “We don’t have the memory to load another model just for a level 3.”

I believe I can fly - the Morrigan thread.

Another thing you’ll never see again:

The whipping/bondage victory pose from mvc1.

Sadly, it seems that model swapping/stacking (or whatever the proper term is) is both the savior and the bane of Darkstalkers characters in 3D. That said, I wonder which engine is more suitable to rendering them, seeing as Ono’s SFIV engine already does some size changes/morphs for the characters that we just don’t notice.

Back on topic though, I’ve been wondering how effective Finishing Shower is in this game for chips/keepaway, especially in mid-air/mid-flight.

But lilith practically uses the same model as morrigan, just alter the colors, flatten the chest and shorten the hair, done, they did in tvc on a freakin wii yet they cant do it on a game for 360/ps3, excuses, excuses, and i still think that memory excuse is a bunch of BS. Lazy capcom,LAZY!

As for finishing shower, is it me or does it look slow and suckish? Im they give Morrigan some new moves becuz hadoken and shoryuken aint cutting it.(and yes her soul fist and Dragon punch move look like ryu’s moves). I think they should give her lilth’s qcb+k move.

To quote That’s 70’s Show…

Eric: "You want to walk to the Hub?"
Hyde: "Too far."
Eric: "You want to walk to–"
Hyde: “Too far…”

Finishing Shower needs to do outrageous chip.

Just to put this into perspective, you cannot run Starcraft 2 on the lowest settings on a computer with less than 1 gig of ram. MvC3 is working with 1/2 that memory. Memory limits are very real and will continue to be a very big problem with this game.

That and this game is keeping 6 characters in memory in comparison to only 4 (lower detailed models) for TvC while rendering them in HD (and remember that part of the 512MB is being used as video RAM, unlike on a PC which has separate video RAM).

Also, Lillith’s 214+k would add nothing functionally to Morrigan as she doesn’t really need a move that moves her across the screen since mobility is not a big problem for her.

i hope morrigans build at tgs shows off some new stuff for her.also i hope shes used a lot in the videos thatll come out of tgs so we have more of an opportunities to see just what changes she may have gone since we last seen her used

Yeah it would be worthless. If she’s going to get new moves taking from Lillith is not the way to go. Lillith’s moveset doesn’t really have anything to offer Morrigan for this game outside of a gimmicky command throw.

Besides, aren’t Morrigan and Lilith generally considered to be kind of bad in the DS games?

Morrigan was A-tier in Hunter but was nerfed in Savior. Still, this is Savior we’re talking about, arguably the only fighting game that has better balance is Virtua Fighter.

Same here.

I only used that Super in order to chip someone to death when I played Tatsunoko vs Capcom.

Other than that, the Super is terrible.

They need to either:

  • Make Finishing Shower faster.
  • Give her Soul Eraser.
  • Both
    or
  • Keep Finishing Shower the same, but make her Soul Eraser faster than her Marvel vs Capcom 2 counterpart.

Indeed it should.

Soul Eraser on the ground, Finishing Shower in the air. Makes sense to me.

I like the sound of that.
