The Problem of Lagless Netplay

I highly doubt that what you say is true. Electricity travels a foot of wire per nanosecond. There’s no way it’s taking 5/60ths of a second for the game to interpret my button press.

This must be true. And to make matters worse, I hear there are online grocery stores and online shops for just about everything else as well. Whole cities have been closing down as people have begun to do nothing but order all goods and perform all social tasks online.

Freeways have begun to fall into disrepair as more and more people are opting to use the new “Information Superhighway,” and birthrates have plummeted with the advent of the new and vastly superior cybersex.

This could be much bigger than just fighting games.

That was clever. Kinda.

No matter how close it ever comes, completely lagless online play will never happen.

You cannot tell me that you wouldn’t shut down your life if you could screw with a copy of 1994 Mariah Carey all day, however you wanted.

Did the guy think before he made this post? Online will never kill offline. Period.

Wait…now I understand why I recognized this thread. Same dumb thread from 2 years ago.

TC: thank god for online-play, fuck the haters.

  • I guess it would have been better if online for fighters never even happend right?? lol. that way you know it could never take over, haha.

It’s all pretty funny actually, the same people I see bitching about online play are the same people I see playing online all the time.

I hope online does take over one day, just to piss some of you off.
