Your post touched my heart, for real, but I believe that this is the wrong attitude to have. I can tell that you deeply care about those around you but having this attitude of - “Point people in the right direction and those who wish to learn will seek out the information on their own, and those who do not wish to learn, let them be.” - I simply cannot accept this. To me, this attitude is betraying everything you wrote.
You have to understand that other people are reading what I write - less intelligent people than yourself (you smart ones know who you are). Less intelligent to the point where even if truth hits them in the face, they have this impenetrable wall of ignorance which cannot be broken. Take my best friend for example. He has the same mindset as many of the people in this thread. He also has this impenetrable wall of ignorance which I cannot break, even after two years of trying to wake him up.
