Yeah some of these routes are OD crazy.

Three things really stand out in this:

  1. Multiple lightning spheres
  2. Early use of Double Typhoon
  3. No lightning attack routes

The HSD on these combos is probably pushed to its limit but the really scary thing is how this display abstracts Storm’s combo routes. Just the other day when I was writing up a new format for the info thread I was thinking about how to explain the three routes we had with her…this blows everything out of the water. Time to go back to the drawing board, ladies.

Here’s another damage comparison video. This time I looked at the modified standard BnB to see what could be changed on it for optimization. I added different starters with chained lights etc to show the damage scaling of the combos and that hsd still allows the combo to go through.

The thing I like most about the stuff you guys have been working on lately is how awesome it is that you’re actually getting enough meter (consistently) to fuel the Hail Storm enders.

Yo is there any use to the crossup LA that anyone has found?

My main use for it is super scrubby, but I use crossup LA in a zigzag pattern above people at low life to either go straight into Lightning Storm for a KO or to attempt a super easy 200-300K combo but they’re super difficult for me since I don’t practice them often. I’m sure there’s much better out there.

It’s harder on wakeup but it may have a use in the air against air techs. Lately I’ve been working more on chip patterns instead though

It does. Storm’s throw is just multi-hitting while others only hit once or twice. There’s no real resetting of damage going on when you raw tag.

Only hitstun gets reset when raw tagging.

Nah it’s neither actually. All raw tagging does is pick up at that number of the combo with the same scaled amount of damage as if tagged character did the combo themselves. Technically this is a damage reset but really it’s not. So since Storm’s throw is six hits by the time anyone tags in, Doom for example, the damage Doom would start with would have been if he did a six hit combo beforehand but now with less hit stun to play with. This obviously is more of a benefit for characters with both fast throws with less hits and fast pick up as you’ll get more from the low amount of hsd available.

I’ve been trying to figure out if there is a way to go into a tac after her lightning storm. Has anyone figured out how to do so?

whirlwind resets?

She has corner typhoon resets but whirlwind has a lot of recovery

I’ve been comboing into Air Heavy Whirlwind doing lightning sphere L ( delayed) or M ( air dash/flight characters) fly xx grab into combo. seems inefficient tho.

Midscreen it’s inefficient because of back tech. In the corner it’s better. You can get flight combos grabs or air to ground in the corner
