Admittedly, I never heard of Nova until the Annihilation event. He was so badass in that it made me a fan. Picked up his ongoing after the event was over. Whatever they do with him I want “blue blazes” to be his deathcry.
Glad to see Iron Fist finally,I was going to force myself to use him even if he sucked,but I am happy to say he looks fun to play. First Rolento,now him,this has been a good week.

His char model looks like really BUFF… it kinda looks weird BUT I guess thats what you expect if they compare him in pics with Vergil!

Iron Fist looks to have very strong ground chains, but we haven’t seen him have many options in the air. As far as I’ve seen, he has no specials that are air-OK nor can he do something other than MMHS.
I guess it would be interesting to have a character that did massive damage in long ground chains, but air combos were mediocre.
Also, he either has some kind of special-special mechanic, like Polimar, or he has really weird looking command normals. Up kicks, OTG axe kick, and some odd low seep. For the low sweep, it’s probably a normal, it just LOOKS odd. Maybe he lag when it hits, it just looks and sounds like a special.
I’m A-ok with that. I much prefer fancy ground chain moves to long air combos. Just started playing a little bit of Jill today, and I can say for sure that that sort of thing is a lot of fun.
My main hope is that he has some sort of basic jumping loops like She-Hulk’s Emerald loop. Oddly enough, those are my favorite combos in the game.
Regardless, I just want to freaking play him.

still hoping for air Dragon Kick*. He needs something for mobility.
*or being able to dragon kick through projectiles, or preferably both.
I love long ground combos, (MODOK FTW) and air loops.
His air attacks don’t SEEM to have great cross up potential, but this is just visually. Haggar’s headbutt crosses up.
He seems to be a unique character (Except for maybe Jill, don’t have her) that gets all his damage on the ground, and has a weak air game.
Sounds like C. Viper will destroy him.
Hm.Hereat 1:41, he kills a nearly full health Vergil with a simple ground chain. Maybe Vergil just has low health. I hope not. :rolleyes:
In the same video, at 1:58, he does massive damage to HULK with a very short meterless combo. Right afterwards, he also does a short but RIDICULOUS combo.
Anyone who can kill Hulk with one meter is good with me.
I can’t wait to play him, before MvC3 was released I wanted a Bruce-lee type character. He looks very fun to play as well, very interesting combos.

He seems to hit quite hard, and hits combos seem to flow slower than other characters.
Yeah, that’s where the big changes of him started. Before that he wasnt really the same character.
I didn’t know of nova till Annihilation either, seems like his origin tbh.
