I noticed in IF gameplay vids that players never really combo after his wallbounces, do his wallbounce attacks have bad recovery or something? I figured with such a bad launcher, he’d have numerous other ways to get combos going from the ground, hope he still does

I hope they make Dragon Kick (or is it Dragon Fang?) have hella priority or projectile invincibility maybe, just an option for him to get around at least

@CriminalUpper: He can combo after the wallbounce shoulder, I’ve seen Seth walking around after hitting it, he just didn’t get a combo, maybe it’s a little strict timing.

A few notes I have from my play time with Iron Fist.

If you haven’t seen the vids I posted, here they are:

By the way, apologies for not doing great, but picking up a new character in such a short amount of time is a trial and error deal. I recorded the vids of characters that I’m interested in playing, and I will try to test anything by request if I get the chance.

Notes on Iron Fist:
-Has a Hunter series ground chain.
-Has a b+H double palm strike (one-hit) and a f+H face kick (one hit).
-NO AIR SPECIALS. This is gonna hurt him in the long run, in my opinion.
-Launcher didn’t hit after cr.H. Hits very low to the ground.
-Of his three assists, I used the overhead OTG kick. It creates a very small floor bounce.
-Of his three assists, the flying kick may be the most useful because of its far extending range, so much that IF is off screen, if the assist misses.
-Has TvC Polimar’s j.H, which hits at an upward angle.
-Boost power-ups are inputted with dp+L for attack up, dp+M for defense up, dp+C for meter gain up. Can be done several times in succession (I didn’t notice if it’s effects stacked), but the effects will wear off over time when IF is the point character. I believe they stay in effect on IF as an assist character, indefinitely.

after watching all of the videos I can see how not having any air specials could possibly be a huge issue as time goes on.

Hunter series is being able to do L, Cr. L, M, Cr. m, H, Cr. H, launcher.
He can do that, it just won’t all connect.

Interesting, didn’t know about that.

It says in the guide, which I checked out from the library.

It’s crazy that one of his assists is his OTG overhead, but he’s gonna need an extremely good AAA to make up for is non-existent air game.
