i’m getting a jill vibe from his combos though. being able to otg, wall bounce and ground bounce via various specials definitely opens him up to be a very interesting team character

This video has terrible gameplay, but at around 2:08-2:10, Iron Fist absorbs Akuma’s fireball with his blue Chi.
That is very interesting, it seems he still takes damage but does not get stunned by it at all. So it looks like people who said he will struggle against projectile/keep-away characters were wrong.
I am even more hyped for him now!
From the trailer it looked like he has variable rekkas maybe? a la karin in that you can input them outside of rekkas but come easier through rekkas.
I could be wrong of course.

Red chi powerup boosts strength, blue defense, and green improves meter gain. Looks like Pheonix has a new bff? Even their default color schemes are the same, haha.

Iron Fist looks sweet as hell. And that chi stance shit is tight… Very interesting mechanic he has in this game. I was worried that he would be just another Ryu. I was wrong.
Looks like everything I posted is now obsolete.
He has rekkas that start mid, low, or high and OTG.
Then he has crumple, upward, Dragon Kick, and knockdown.
Evidently, he is not going to have that much trouble mixing up. High, low, crossup, probably can combo off of throws.

Clockw0rk already wrote on his twitter that he’s thinking of playing Vergil/Doom/Strider. Can’t see Clockw0rk playing Iron Fist, if anything I bet Combofiend is going to be the one picking him up since he sounds a lot like the kind of character for Combofiend. High health, tricky, very similar to Spencer except for less mobility. But of course all that will depend on how viable Iron Fist is for competitive play.

Interesting, I don’t keep up with twitter unless someone around here brings it up. I assumed he’ll still run a Phoenix team, but that all depends on Strider I guess. With meter building form and high damage? Fuggedaboutit, there are all kinds of teams that can use Iron Fist.

Damn all of a sudden dude is looking much more interesting that I had previously assumed. Those chi thingy’s sound very intriguing indeed, although all of a sudden the extreme damage he was doing in all those vids makes a lot more sense, dude was doing ass damage without a chi charge(granted this was on the hulk, nemesis and thor). I hope the other two prove as effective at what they are meant to do to warrant use in high level play, it would suck if by this time next year any iron fist players are using only the red chi.
Definitely looks like he might be the akuma to phoenix’s wolverine(did I say that right?), high health(is this confirmed?), high damage without meter and 2 of their alts are perfect matches. Definitely jumped up on my potential mains list.
The only problem I have so far with Iron Fist is that looks like Wesker won’t do him any good, and having 2 OTG assists is a waste IMO. I hope he has the dragon kick assist as well so I can keep Iron Jaguar possible.
Ok, so Seth not just confirmed the Avengers alt color (thank god it’s a color, I want a more different alt costume) but he also showed the Dragon Kick assist.
I can keep my Iron Jaguar then.
With the white color I can go either Empire of the Iron Jaguar (FF Doom, Lab Wesker and Avengers Iron Fist) or SUPERIOR Iron Jaguar (WM Iron Man, Lab Wesker and Avengers Iron Fist)
Empire of the Iron Jaguar would also work with them all wearing green, and probably black and red as well. As you know Color Sinergy is everything in this game, so I’ll probably stick to this one.
Unless of course they show Purple Iron Fist, then I’ll use whoever I need in order to get Purple Wesker and Purple Iron fist

I wonder if the HSD allows him to use the BNB we’ve been seeing in his gameplays with one more air chain rep using wesker’s OTG assist. If so, it would already bring the damage up by a bit.
I’m thinking about something like Ground Chain, Stagger, Meter Build Chi, launch, air combo, call Wesker and Power Boost Chi, launch, air combo, OTG, palm, super.
