lol nice… i played Shin and Leroy… Leroy is very good. we always have a good set.
I think I’ve played Leroy before… not sure if he was playing Guy or not at the time.

i don’t think this is the same OTK video that was posted recently. anyway… the description in the video says he played 400 matches and went 396-4. that… is…uncanny.
at around 18:00 against gouken… he does run overhead > cr. short > ff chain > EX shoulder… the run overhead is a counterhit… but it’s still sick nonetheless. i really hope OTK enters some tournaments for AE. guy is the perfect character for him after watching him play cvs2 back in the day. he’s really patient, strong defense, but knows when to go in and rush.
edit: he fights a dan in that video also. i don’t know how hard it was in super to land FA level 3 to cl. rh because of how fast dan falls during a crumple, but he pulls it off in AE.
edit2: around 54 minutes in… dudley tries to do EX mgb from about 1/3 of the screen away… guy does cr. short xx EX shoulder… the cr. short makes EX mgb whiff. thought that was interesting. was this possible in super?
been watching this video and this Guy is awesome…
I think Guy is really solid in AE and run overhead is a powerful tool now… i use it alot in super and when i can score a counter hit on a standing opponent i always link ff chain… but now no counter hit needed… with our 3frame cr.lk it will be awesome and not to hard to link i think…
also run overhead looks safer on block maybe …
Dan was almost on his knees when the cl.HK hit. That hitbox really has improved.
I think I’m going to go back and count how many times they landed Bushin Flip.
a couple really interesting things i noticed OTK does in those matches. he’ll charge a focus when he has some one knocked down in the corner… some times right in their face… others about 1/4 of the screen away. if they back jump in fear of getting hit by the focus and he’s in their face… he’ll focus dash forward and TK EX izuna… if he’s 1/4 of the screen away and they back jump… he’ll EX shoulder as they come down from the jump, and if he has U1 stocked… he’ll juggle them with ultra afterward. he attempts the 2nd strategy toward the end of the video against sakura, but gets EX run instead of ultra.
i’ve only recently started catching back jumps with EX shoulder and it’s given me really good results. most of the time people don’t throw anything out when they jump back.
Yea we need to use many tricks like that to get that u1 in the corner…I remember seeing poongko do that alot FA on wakeup and then dash and punish the jump with Ryu u2…
Another trick i like to use is the Nj.HK if they try to jump …this is srsly one helluva underrated normal…leads to ultra most of the time even when it hits twice…but few times they juggle a bit less when it hits twice so its hard to connect the 2nd hit of u1…
I think U1 is awesome for characters who have a hard time in the corner…
Why does he use lp for safe jump?
focus bait in the corner is working pretty well for me. Didn’t think to use it mid screen with ex hozz
uhh wtf @ 28:48 TK Kaiten Izuna grabbed back dash?
Otaku sure loves the cr.lp, cr.hp frame trap. The good thing that I remembered is st.mp having bigger hitbox. In ssf4, if the opponent blocks cr.hp, st.mp whiffs a lot of the time unless you’re close. Now it probably connects everytime as a blockstring which is great news cause you can cancel into runxxhk or Bushin flip or run xx stop (not sure if safe from srk) for more pressure. Good to know that buff had a purpose.
I’d say bacause it has less pushback on block (so it will be easier for tick throws) and it has less blockstun, so you’ll be able to grab them a bit earlier. Different escape timings can help for offense.
does bushin flip > elbow drop have less recovery now? i would always get thrown out of it or get hit during the recovery on block/whiff even when i try to grab as well, but this guy’s teching with ease and is able to block after the other guy blocks the elbow.
^^ Its just a bit of timing… guy is definitely at a frame adv if they block a bushin flip while crouching… Make sure u press plink C.LK with throw to make sure u get it and tech the grab if the opponent throws…

Anyone tell me who the guy players are … its all in japanese :v …i think the first one is legendary otaku… dunno if these vids have already been posted
Yes its the same ones that we posted a few back.
Yea i was thinking it might have been posted…since otakus bp was lesser in this …i only saw the recent vid that was posted of him…
Also Ehubs states this was a capcom tournament?..If so anyone have any idea on the results?..perhaps these guy players placed high…
Some characters when backdashing are a little floaty so they are considered airborne. They semi jump or skip back.
I thought the whole cast is now considered airborne on backdash, after the invisibility frames.
You may very well be right I just havent tested each character out so I wasnt positive. Thanks
