Seems he’s using bushin flip to grab a ducking ryu on wake up. Looks like it requires very strict timing though.
I figured this could be done without using EX. But the timing would be strict. If this becomes viable, then getting comboed by Guy could become very scary.
I’ve been working on those setups for a few weeks now, very similar to cammy’s hooligan traps. Timing is VERY strict. Haven’t found a reliable way to land it yet.
I can get the EX to grab crouching on wakeup something like 90% of the time after most of guy’s knockdown movelist with one or two exceptions (his back throw and HK/LK tatsu). Doing it sans EX though seems insanely conditional simply because no move so far seems to leave you at the right distance, so it’s timing and spacing.
I mean hell it looks like he’s having to kara the flip. Oh well looks like it’s back to training for me.
Looks like he’s using the kara as timing, not spacing.
interesting… the step back before the flip seemed to be working really consistently.

Makoto(vega) vs Papatiwawa(guy)
Good mixup and pressure from Guy 2nd round with blockstrings ending in run overhead, but he gets destroyed by Makotos powerful Vega the other two.
Some matches against a Dudley I played on Endless Battle. Uhh, not exactly tournament caliber, I got smashed the first time but I got better afterwards.

I put a pretty foolproof setup for the unduckable bushin flip grab in the okizeme thread, need to work on setups for all his knockdowns. It’s pretty strong as long as you don’t overuse it.

Incredibly on point with all of Guys combos,including midscreen FADC into U1 combos that you don’t see very often.
Excellent floe, his cody is godlike too.
U2 and BISON
I’m at a crossroads with Guy and I need to get better. For me that’s using U2 effectively among other things. Does anyone have any video of U2 being used effectiviely in matches under different situations? Also, I’m looking for good video match ups against Bison. Out of all the characters I have a trouble finding answers for him especially when I play with someone who knows my mix-ups. I apologize if some of these videos are on this thread but I haven’t seen them. Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the link johnick. Didn’t mind the messages. I have an ibuki I play against as well. I am able to do it to her on occasion only because we are playing footsies. However I need to see some people dealing with a charge character. If anyone has more video of u2 in action or of Bison Fighting guy. I would appreciate it.

Dieminion plays Guy in the second set here(about 13 minutes in).
All IU know is against Bison, rush him down before he rushes you, Tsukimiya fought a Bison I believe I linked the video a few pages back, so I’d watch it get a feel on what to do and no to do against Bison
But everyone will tell you avoid getting placed in the corner as much as possible.
