I know it’s I’ll defined how much blame he deserves,but he deserves some of that due to downplaying the severity and not wearing a mask himself.

I agree. General rule is that the United States doesn’t negotiate with terrorists (unless you’re Reagan), so no one should be appeasing Trump’s treasonous base. For the base that blindly follows Trump, they will only ever be satisfied if Trump is unduly made president and probably president for life, Constitution be damned. We have Republican congress members fearing for their lives because Trump’s base have become rabid dogs that won’t take no for an answer. Fuck them and fuck every Republican congressman that doesn’t stand up for democracy and the constitution. DON’T APPEASE TERRORISTS.

I have to agree that situation’s fucked however you look at it. But as I mentioned in the previous thread, the siegelayers being called domestic terrorist is as dangerous of a precedent as letting Trump go with no repercussion for January 6th events
The way I see it, once January 21st rolls around, Democrats essentially have 4 years to reasonably deal with millions upon millions of Americans that are scared, angered, desperate. If you read the shit they say, they’re pretty much dead set on several ideas, such as:
- Stolen and fraudlent election
- Capitol storm being a setup with Antifa infiltrators as a false flag operation
- Democrats planning to stage a shooting to finally break down on deleting second amendment
- Trump supporters being unwillinbg to give up guns (essentially threatening violence should it come to that), as well as being hunted down, lined up, and sent to camps like what Nazis did to Jewish people back in WW2
- Disenfranchising from any further elections since DNC will just rig it anyway
Like from republicans’ point of view they’re being discriminated and ostracized by the rest of America’s population, and all the exodus from platforms like Twitter and Reddit only further creates echo chambers where these people gather and are essentially performing fear mongering upon each other that Democrats are going to conduct a genocide so entire country turns and remains blue forever
