Joe Pa isn’t innocent. Now let me go back by saying that Joe Pa has done great things for the university. If it wasn’t for his football program they wouldn’t have money to have the libraries, chemical labs, do research, grants, and countless other shit. He single handedly solve half of their budget problems if not more.
The man deserves the hall of fame for what he has accomplished. However in this specific situation he was wrong. It’s as simple as that. I think you can still honor the man for what he has accomplished in both academia, and with athletics. At the same time you have to accept that letting him go here is the right thing to do. Even he knows it and it seems like he’s okay with it.
So move the fuck on from the Joe Pa debate, because even he doesn’t want you to back him up. He has come to terms with what happened and has accepted the consequences.
I’m torn between being disgusted by how people are actually upset about him being fired and trying to justify his actions, and being happy that all this is happening to Penn State.
