I didn’t know Bloodrayne Betrayal was on steam.
Discovered it last morning.
Immediately purchased and enjoyed.
Exactly what I was looking for.
A dark, gothic hack & slash 2D HD platformer.
Thank you Jesus!
Harvester went from really awesome to tragically annoying in this third act, all I am doing now is being put in terrible fight situation after terrible fight situation and having to save frequently. Not knowing who I should kill, who to keep alive, and hoping I don’t get instant killed (Though the cutscenes are fun). Oh well I should almost be done.
Thanks to friends generosity and the power of the Humble Bundle/Store/Steam sales I got: Sanic collection, Harvester, IHNMBIMS, 7th Hour/11th Guest, Might & Magic or something 6-8, Broforce, Metal Slug 3, Dustforce among other co-op things, Doom 3 BFG edition and something else I forgot.
Freaking 199 titles, I need one more to be elite master PC race edition.
sidenote: I didn’t actually play the game just watched some of retsuprae’s version.
I tried to play Dustforce and it didn’t seem to have the snappy controls it felt like it should have for such a fast paced game. I just couldn’t get my character to do what I wanted him to do when I wanted him to do it.
Shadow Man. I downloaded the GOG version a long-ass time ago.
The game is fucked.
It’s dark and weird as hell. The FMV’s and digitized graphics made it age well, imo. In that video, he’s in the Free Mason lodge going HAM. Probably bangs a hooker, does drugs, is a witness to cannibalism, just all around weird shit.
Harvester is disturbing in a lot of areas but is more of a persistent uneasy feeling, you KNOW something is wrong, and unless you spoiled yourself early on your goal is to discover exactly what it is. Has a Twin Peaks vibe to it.
I found Phantasmagoria and the Clock Tower games (At least one and two) more disturbing in actual content. Phantasmagoria has a very interesting and paranoid story littered with some horrifying death instances. Clock Tower games has the classic Giallo kills littered with Supernatural, and the persistent threat that Scissor Man could literally pop out at any time to murder yo ass keeps you on your toes.
@Alexisthebomb: Check out 7th Hour/11th Guest at least. They are pretty solid point and click puzzle games with a brooding atmosphere. Nothing on the level of the games I mentioned, but it doesn’t necessarily have to be.
@Exodus: Sounds good, I suck at Risk of Rain but I want to unlock the cast at least, still stuck using The Commando and been distracted by other titles.
It’s an Early Access game that’s going to hit open beta May 27th.
Just recently got my hands on it, I’m usually not a fan of MOBAs, but this game is too much fun. At first, the game seems overwhelming, but it becomes easy to understand after minutes of playing. There’s a counter for everything, and even a counter for your counter, combining spells while armoring up to become totally immune to other spells.
It’s my new crack at the moment, but sadly, it’s one game I don’t see becoming too popular. I dunno, I hope I’m wrong cause I’d like a lot of people to look into it.
Harvester is awesome. I don’t like point-and-click adventure games for the most part(I find them boring as hell and tedious to play) but Harvester is too good.
