It’s a good mouse but the scroll wheel stopped working after about 2 years.
Yeah I had that problem with 1 of them around the same period. The second one is still kicking for who knows how long. Lost count at 6-7 years. Hell I can’t believe it’s been that long since I’ve gotten this mouse holy shit.
My g300 kinda died in a year and a half after extensive use but it was like $30 so it wasn’t a biggie for me. I got the MX518 around the same price range too.
Had an MX510 for about 7 years.
Still going strong.
My old mouse lasted me over 10 years. Creative name brand, nothing special. I think it only stopped working because I dropped it/something got stuck inside that ruined the right-click button.
A gaming mouse has the same functionality as monster cables as far as I’m concerned.

So, I’m just realizing how incompatible my GT 9800 is with most games. Only games I can run at full settings @ 1080p are TF2, PoE, and a lot of older games.
Should I go to Best Buy and purchase an entry level 1GB card and play on that until I save up enough money for a mid-level card, or save up enough money for a beast card. BB has this eVGA card from a relatively older GTX line, for $60 iirc.
Anyone know if Risk of Rain supports pad play? I’m not able to connect mind beyond pausing and it sucks to play on keyboard.
Also if anyone wants to group up for L4D2 or something hit me up.

Good news: Got my ps3 pad working and it looked like it supports XBOX360 pads too. If you Pause>Controls at the very bottom is Controller Support and you need to go in there and turn it on and set your buttons.
Bad news: I lost all of my characters when I reimaged my machine :sad: I only unlocked like 3 or 4 other dudes but the Enforcer is such a bad motherfucker
edit: Woo fixed it and if I wanted to hack it I could probably unlock the remaining 4 characters by changing this .txt file.

Get one of the new “budget” cards that came out for a 150 bucks. If you get a random 1GB card it’ll run most games on full but you’ll end up needing to replace it really quick, a 2GB card on the other hand can last you a while.

Unless you are referring to something else I said earlier in the thread. I’m awful with KB+M so I don’t play a ton of FPSs but I’ve gotten good enough at KB+M that I can use it when I play FPSs. Picked up RotT last time it was on sale, I haven’t beaten it yet though. I almost never played PC games when I was a kid and stuck almost solely to console (minus Starcraft for a couple of years) so I’m more or less still getting used to kb
Most of the games I play are better played on pad but if a game calls for kb+m I can use it now
Ah okay, I read that wrong. I remember reading peoples posts on forums from people that play PC FPS games with 360 pads. What in the flying fuck? :mad:
I only use pad on PC for platformers, action games(Rising, Lords of Shadow, etc) & beat 'em ups/2D style games. I play all my oldschool emulated games with a pad. Everything else I use KB and mouse. :tup:

Bundle is worth it for All-Stars Racing Transformed alone, imo. Bought it standalone a while ago & finally unlocked the AGES character. It switches between a Daytona Hornet (land), Afterburner F-14 (air), and a modified Dreamcast controller (sea). Each version is accentuated with iconic sound effects (the boot jingles from all of Sega’s home consoles, Daytona pit crew chatter, VMU beeps, etc). Only time I ever wanted to do the Banderas pose that so many Playstation fans overuse.
Might be worth it for mean bean machine lol. I loved that game, might have to pick up the bundle.
I want to get that bundle so bad, love me some SANIC.

Thief for 25 (that game came out like, 2 months ago), Metro last light for 14, Arkham Origins for 8 are the games I am eyeing right now…also Shadow Run Returns for 5 bucks seems pretty nice.
Also they’ve got Shadow Warrior (2013) for 15, which is a pretty fun game, I’d recommend it.
After deciding that none of the “next gen” consoles have any games I want or looking forward to I decided to get an evga 780 ti classified instead. Nvidia giving away watch dogs with their cards is just icing on the cake.

I finished F.E.A.R. 2 some time ago on PC. What did you guys think of it?
There were a number of annoying features that I wish could be removed, such as the enemy outline effect and the hit crosshair, but otherwise it was fine. The shooting without slo-mo actually looks really good and I managed to beat 95% of the game on hard difficulty without tapping into slo-mo. I only used it during the final fight and the parts where you’re manning a turret.
It does get repetitive after a while, like the first, but it’s still intense and fun.
