The PC gaming Thread. Steam/GOG/Origin/Etc. Game/Software/Hardware talk

I would be down to try out online KOF, even though I haven’t touched fighting games in a minute

Glad the video is finally seeing light. It’s neat to see the mean push this way to another level.
Too bad it also proves my point how pointless this technology will be for video games, lol
in what way does it prove that?

I’ll probably be around for Rocket League tonight if anyone doesn’t mind having a new guy on the team.

OK I CHANGED MY MIND I’M GOOD AT ROCKET LEAGUE

I just played a few games on my own hooooooooooooooooly shit people are stupid.

You can get Bioshock Infinite through GMG for $1 (or free if you link your Steam account to Playfire or whatever) just for voting in the Golden Joystick Awards

i got it for free cuz I swiped a bunch of the codes you get from buying video cards, when I worked at a pc parts shop after college.

The latest Grandia 2 patch made the game much better. 60FPS battles, volume control, and bug fixes.

60fps doesn’t break the game mechanics like it did for intercepting fire in Valkyria Chronicles, does it?

I haven’t gotten mount your friends : o

Make sure you download the “DSFIX” mod. I just got it last week and holy shit the native resolution makes the game look way better and run smoother.

I heard Azure Striker Gunvolt had a similar issue being shitty at launch, but they’ve been patching it nearly everyday and its issues (aside from the 30 fps lock) have been apparently fixed.

Still gonna wait for a price drop since I already have the 3DS version. Not gonna speedrun it anytime soon, too much other stuff to play.

Didn’t even notice that. The game kinda felt pretty well balanced on PC.

Apparently it made shocktroopers way stronger on PC than the original game, although I never played the original so I’m just going off what people tested. The damage of intercepting fire on certain things was tied to FPS, Dark Souls had this same issue initially with damage and equipment wear on certain things.

OFC.

^ I followed that and have everything running perfectly. My pad isn’t detected by DS1 or 2, so I downloaded the Mouse Fix as well as the HD Texture Pack.

I think there was someone on the fence about getting DS1 because you had to do some fixing/modding to get it to work as well as it should. It takes about 5-10 minutes to get this all going and it isn’t complicated at all(unless you haven’t done something like this before, then you might find it a bit complicated.)

Likely because there were more use for the other units now that intercepting fire discouraged you from just blowing through the whole game with scouts so easily. I mean you still can but you had to blow some turns on defense orders and what not.

Shocktroopers on both sides are now much more dangerous which is a good thing, encourages you to effectively use your other units abit more.

Scouts still shit on the game but yeah, this is a case of a unintentional balance change that works out favorably due to a mechanics changing due to framerate.

So, what’s different in the MGSV patch? I’m on version 1.02 now but no idea what that means.

Probably hotfixes for bugs. Every time I start up the game I have to mash x through all the dead end warnings.

Yeah that shit is really fucking annoying. And how is it that it’s 2015 and we still can’t skip through all the logos before hitting the menu? You don’t see artists putting a commercial before the first track of their album plays. Shit, even at-home movies no longer have the coming attractions.

STOP IT.

^ paid game shouldn’t have those. I understand if its a demo or a free game supported by ads. but when you buy it you shouldn’t have to deal with ANY of that.
