Still enjoying the hell out of Shadowrun Returns.
Does Dragonfall make it that much better?

From what I read up, it seems like Dragonfall >>>>> Shadowrun by a mile.
I’m not sure myself on the subject, as I have Dragonfall and I think it’s neat. Nothing too crazy, but it’s fun.

K sweet.
I’ll probably pick it up on a sale.

Haven’t played a good quality Cyberpunk RPG for a long long time… Although Human Revolution made me happy.

Too bad Chronicles sucks ass. If only the same company that made Returns, made it.

I can echo the sentiment of reading people saying Dragonfall is a lot better, but I also haven’t played either. So take that with a big bowl of “this guy prob doesn’t know what he’s talking about”

Transistor is a great mostly-cyberpunk (I would classify it as cyberpunk and if you want me to go into why I’ll expound. It may be too ‘clean’ to be classified as such, the ‘low-life’ aspect isn’t quite as much as you would see in Shadowrun and the Sprawl series) isometric ARPG.

Plus we have 2077 to look forward to.

There’s also there came an echo, but the gameplay doesn’t look all to great.
The OST is nice, but the game seems a lot more linear that I thought.

im not sure i would consider transistor cyberpunk, more traditional sci-fi shrug but it was one of the best games released last year! BOOYA!

crazy enough the game was officially released today!

im outi

which should I get? :expressionless:

I mean, you’re not playing a whole lot of games on either, my man. Do you need it for college? You could probably play the retro indie games on Steam and shit, but not much else. They also look almost identical, for the most part.

This shit right here:

IntelÂŽ HD graphics
With shared video memory enables lush images. HDMI output lets you connect an HDTV or other high-definition display.

That’s on board video, you’re not playing a lot of games with that at all. It doesn’t even have a dedicated graphics processor. If you’re just using it for college or work, Netflix and light gaming like most people, then yeah it’s fine. It’s not going to run anything beyond that well, I don’t even know if that thing could run League at low settings, and League is the ultimate potato game.

The Witcher 1 & 2 are on sale on Steam. Everyone here probably owns them already anyway, but yeah. B)

**Pillars of Eternity **came out with a large patch today.
A lot of changes, so many that any files pre-patch won’t work on this patch (so you’re forced to start a new game). However, you can still play your older saves, they just wont be running on 1.05.

OOooh fuck yes. I sent newegg a message asking why my card wasn’t part of the free Witcher and Batman codes. The Canadian rep basically said “sucks for canads”. Then I noticed my card was getting shipped out of LA so I contacted Newegg US and asked them why the promotion wasn’t included for canada.
The US rep apologized for the canad rep and sent me both codes!

Nice! You’ll get to put those new cards towards some nice visuals!

Is it just me, or does Wolfenstein Old Blood look very…stealthy?

^ It certainly does. TNO is stealthy as well.

  • You can shoot a silenced pistol, throw knives & execute guards from behind.

Having the first game, I’m getting the new one later.

Well, TNO was stealthy, but it looks like the early game is a lot of stealth. Or at least, a lot compared to the non-compulsory stealth at the start, with few options to akimbo things.

First two chapters are really stealthy.

After that you open the doors to Castle Wolf in Chapter 3. That’s where I’m at right now, it’s supposed to get a lot crazier from here on out.

I’m switching a 970 for a 970 so there won’t be an upgrade in power :stuck_out_tongue:

The stealth always seemed pretty optional in that Wolfenstein game, I’m sure this one will be similar. If you want to just gun it out, it just gives you more enemies I think. Not a huge deal, that game wasn’t all that hard even on Uber, aside from a few small parts.

I feel mixed about the tesla grenades and energy weapons in the new wolfenstein. To say the least, it changes how battles play out. They laser guns could be recharged and used for great benefit.

With that said, the space mission was grand.

I spent the only 10 dollars i had on a pack of cigs and some beer… I should have saved them for Witcher 1 and 2, i could of got them both for 4.50$, then i still would of had some money left over for Dota 2 items, female hero hair styles in particular…
