Get a load of this god damn game. Already met its goal, hit a couple stretch goals, 21 days to go. As a short breakdown, itâs basically God Hand with a Dark Souls fringe. No exploration, youâre basically dumped into an arena and fight waves of enemies with a slightly more expansive movelist than youâd typically find in a beat em up. Has a stamina bar that prevents you from running and jumping away all the time to keep you fighting, but if you want to do the cool stuff you need to charge up your magic while blocking, so you need to find a middleground between going all out and building up your magic so you can continue to go all out. Also features adaptive AI that gets harder as you play it. And thatâs just the base game thatâs already out. The kickstarter expansion if you will adds more weapons and gear, more customization, PvP, which sounds sick, and co-op.
If you have a PS3 you can try out the original for $5, otherwise I suggest checking out some videos, because from the enemy design to attack patterns, to the art style and visual design, this game is cool as hell.
The 750ti you posted? I have one, and it is pretty good if you have a lower resolution monitor and okay with a 1080p monitor. It will become outdated by 2016. My suggestion is skip it.
You currently have an AMD card, right? I would suggest against getting anything from Nvidia, since AMD leaves a shitload redundant files on their video card drivers. Aside from that, you can find better prices on AMD cards: one of their best 3GB cards is like $199.99 <-- amazing price. They also have their answer to the 970 coming out later this year.
Dunno if $250 is not in your price range, but believe me when I say it is worth the extra money. Youâre making a long term investment that will last beyond this generation. If youâre patient, you can find deals on this card for $189.99 <-- wonât happen until tax season or summer doeâŚ
Iâm definitely in no rush right now. MGS5 is what I want it for and even then I think my card can handle it for now. But youâre right, Iâm looking to prolong my PC since I JUST invested money into putting more RAM into my shit. Damn LGA1156s being dead also make it hard to find better processors. My mobo is solid as fuck so I"m not looking to replace it, either.
I donât pay much attention so hopefully youâre still around in the summer when I need help again.
Do you have a decent power supply? You will want to make sure the wattage / quality can handle a new gpu, or youâll have to tack another expense. But I agree, the 280x is a great card at its price point.
I personally bought a gold rated 650w corsair psu months before I knew Iâd be buying a gpu just so that I could split up the cost a little bit.
Hey, a minor sidestep of a topic, but for those using an SSD, what brand are you people using/prefer/is most reliable?
Cause I had a PNY XLR8⌠that fucking DIED on me like a little bitch. Yeah, I had the thing RMAâd, but Iâm already thinking of just saying âfuck itâ and finding another one. Keep hearing all the Samsung ones are top-notch.
Samsungs as far as I can tell are the ones everyone loves.
I owed a Kingston 128GB that I sold to a friend that performed wonderfully. Pretty decent speed and shit. Right now I use a Crucial 256GB thatâs not as fast as the Kingston but still no slouch. I had no problem with either brands.
