so, from looking over the 70+ steam games in my library…and I mean just briefly looking over their min specs regarding ram…
these are the games I can play on my tablet.
Ys origin
Ys oath of felghana
Dust an elysian tail
the bridge
Bloodrayne betrayal
Fairy Bloom Freesia
Vanguard Princess
Closure
Dustforce
Elsworld
jet set radio
Portal
blade kitten
Chantelise
Kung Fu strike
Papo y Yo
Psychonauts
Sideway
Velvet Assassin
Mirrors Edge
keep in mind there’s other important specs that affect if the game can be played or not on this tablet. like velvet assassin only plays using a very very old PhysX legacy driver which needs to be downloaded.
uh, oh and i’d mention Rusty Hearts since it has 1gb ram minimum…then I realized, this mmorpg …its being shut down.
I never got to play it other than for a few days tops.
I kept grinding through other games leaving it for later.
now I cant ever play it!
Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!
other games like Tomb Raider underworld has 1gb ram minimum if its xp but 2gb ram if vista.
so i’ll just count those few games out.
my sandisk sd card is 64gb which the tablet accepts…since it officially takes up to 32gb but still recognizes 64gb cards…but my sandisk class 10 I’m using got fried when I used it long ago on my phone where it got permanently damaged so I cant install on sd card yet. not till I get a new one. says read only, no write. :-/
the windows store has a STEAM TILES app that lets you connect to your steam account and add each game as a tile to your tablets homescreen tiles. Which is pretty cool. can launch game from there.
UltraSF4 has 1gb minimum which is crazy. but I’d never dare play that on tablet form
lastly, I cant believe Transistor needs at least 4gb ram.
O.o
the guy is named Risitas.
he tells him when he was young he had a job as an errand boy working for a restaurant on a beach in spain.
the boss of the place tells him to clean 20 huge bread trays by tying them to something on the beach and letting the salt water dissolve the grease on them.
he didn’t. well not exactly.
he put the 20 trays in between 3 or four huge rocks or something like that but didn’t tie them down. but still marked their location with sticks to pick them up next morning.
when he woke up he found that the tide had come in and took all 20 bread trays away and into the sea with the tide.
not a single tray was left and the restaurant needed them to serve bread and whatever type food.
the boss billed him for the loss to the restaurant.
he ended up owing more than he got ever payed for working there and left in debt.
If you look at the 750ti’s specification page on the Geforce website, you’ll see that it has the same data transfer rate that the Xbone is pushing; the_jump_is_not_negligible.gif. The only advantage a 750ti has over the Bone and Quats GPU is higher core clock rates; otherwise it’s identical to current gen. You don’t even need these 8 cores to prevent bottlenecking with the card. Any CPU in the 4XXX line of FX processors (plus the Intel equivalent) can get full power out of it.
I have been using the card since Spring of 2014. It is more than perfect for getting games to run @ 60+ FPS on my dinky 1440x900 monitor. Even better if you’re on dat CRT life. But it will not stand the tests of time; I don’t even know if it will be compatible with DX12!
Downside… it’s FUCKIN’ EARLY ACCESS!!
Backers of the game got it early and are currently playing it, however once it’s released on Feb 3rd, it’ll remain on EA. But it’s been said the game will come out this year, so who knows.
One of the indie games I played at PAX East last year. Really came away impressed with it, I’ve been waiting for a crack at it for a while now.
Thought I was nice keepin my party healthy until the boss, but my torch ran out, affecting both parties accuracy and crit chances I think? IDK shit changed and the boss started wailing on my dudes, narrowly escaped when my Crusader passed a resolve check and went beast mode to clutch it out. It’s RNG and that’s not fun sometimes, but sometimes it is. And it looks like it’s working in really engaging ways here.
get this.
so I found a virtual gamepad called Gestureworks that works for steam games running in fullscreen mode. which is exactly what I want.
problem is it negates unlocking any steam achievements for the game. essentially making it useless.
then I discovered you could stream a game from your laptop/desktop to your tablet.
ie, I don’t need to download the game onto the tablet, just install on the laptop.
cool.
but again, cant use the virtual gamepad cuz when it streams either the gamepad shuts off or the game shuts off.
ugh.
frustrating.
Man… I can’t help it… I need Darkest Dungeon. It looks so fun.
Getting it.
I’m hearing a rumor that the game may be fully out by Summer, which is quiet soon.
2015 is looking like another good year for gaming… ONE I’LL MISS OUT ON!! sobs
