Only thing on my wishlist that I want to play now is Super Time Force, so I’ll watch for it to be a daily/flash.
Saving my pennies for the inevitable Holiday Sale next month, where I’m hoping they’ll have some kind of team-based badge-crafting competition again. They must’ve made sooo much easy money from the sale of those “steal points” items to not do it again.
I liked the first one a lot, second one had some real issues. They tried for SotN and failed, instead of just making the straightforward experience of the first game.
I had PC version at launch (40 bucks, or 499 pesos from Mexico’s Origin server lol) and was perfectly satisfied with it. But if EA is just going to up and shitcan promising titles like Dawngate, then I’m not going to give them my business, and that includes keeping their software on my computer. Got plenty of other games to play.
Been playing Rondo Duo. Pretty good so far, nice action, but the effects and lighting can be a bit much. Arty is fine, stylistic is good, but just don’t let it get in the way of what is actually happening. This 2.5dx engine, or whatever they call it, is pretty good. It really does have this hand drawn sort of feel to it, even if it is all 3d.
These games have been coming out for a while, I wonder if modern fighters, like Kohime Musou, or GG Xrd got inspiration from it?
I think I brought it up here on this topic last time about part 3, since I thought part 3 was complete garbage but has the best open world song of all time.
Got Resident Evil 5 on that Autumn Sale, because why not?
But I gotta say, even with improved mouse and keyboard controls, it still feels extremely uncomfortable and cumbersome. Busted out that Dualshock 4 for max comfort.
picked up Castlevania LOS2 and Yaiba NGZ 10 bucks each.
love both. they’re both great pc ports, had trepidation Yaiba might have been ported badly but nope. all is well.
I would preorder kof98 but until I get confirmation that the netcode is good I’m not buying an fighter till I know I can play solid online. not repeating the mistake I made with Ultra SF4. I’m still hella mad about that fiasco of a port.
just came from the KOF98 steam forums. the developer said they were NOT gonna use rollback netcode.
input delay all the way with that port.
no rollback, no buy.
fuck that nonsense with jap devs refusing to implement rollback. I cant stand how jap devs of fighters to this day refuse to implement rollback. they treat it like the plague. done with that. fuck Capcom and fuck snk. fuck Japanese fighting games altogether.
not worth all the teeth gnashing hair pulling frustrations of fighting bad laggy netcode instead of my opponent.
That sucks, ah well. I guess I’m sticking to vs. cpu like always then. Hoping the money SNK makes on 98 and 2002 encourages them to release more games, fighting or not.
