*Sees Ryse PC “improvements” are all related to graphics…a more realistic and polished turd is still a turd. From what I’ve seen of Ryse it’s something I’d be impressed by and have rub for 5 minutes before getting bored by it’s super simple, repetitive mix of button mashing and QTEs. God of War is simple, repetitive, and full of QTEs and is one of my favorite franchises, M$ needs to learn how to make core com okay fun before focusing on all the bells and whistles of course those bells and whistles are what drive sales not smartly designed game play.
Rofl, where are all these Xbone exclusives going? Won’t be long before KI makes it to the PC. Hopefully the upcoming Scalebound will see a PC port, because I’m not getting an Xboned at all.
Also, wtf is up with Squeenix making PC ports for their NDS Final Fantasy remakes?
Aside from that, I’ve been digging Grim Dawn. Haven’t put too much time into it cause of PoE, however the game is becoming quiet fun, making it rather hard on myself to put it away. It plays a lot like Titan Quest (which is no surprise, same devs), but the abilities are rather interesting and more unique. Most Diablo Clones tends to borrow moves from Diablo and crate their own, but I’ve yet to really see that here. The movement is faster than say D3 or PoE, and you’re able to combine other classes as you level, opening up more opportunities for your character. I always like the appeal of having sub-classes, so this is cool to me.
I will say this, the game looks kinda fuckin ugly. I know they’re going for that “griddy” and “darkish” look, but I feel as though PoE and D2 pulled that off better (not so much PoE, as it feels like there’s a gray filter I’m unable to remove on PoE, ha). However, there’s a lot of detail to armor and what not, so it’s all good.
I wouldn’t call it a Diablo-clone per-say, as it seems to have borrowed Diablo’s formula and took it’s own path. Game is expected to have a full release early 2015.
It’s Square-Enix though. I haven’t checked them all, but it seems like a lot of games published under their watch (new Tomb Raider, Sleepy Dogs) don’t allow for mods.
This was the first thing I thought when I heard about this port.
It used to be. IIRC they’re changing the game to where you have loadouts, auto-bunny hops, and other things that take away the arena feeling. Last time I played it, it was pretty fun, but that was back in beta.
first thing the modding community will do is make nude skins. Bet you anything darabbiduckie will be holed up in his room, spanking the simian to Vanile’s clothing-deprived twiggy ass, for the next 6 months.
Wouldn’t a 256bit memory bus be a little bit small for a 4GB card? Nvidia purposely holding back the full potential for both cards?
I also wonder what the price difference will be for the 980 and 970. Wouldn’t be surprised if you had to pay an extra $160 for the higher clock rate and extra cuda cores.
