This Razor Naga has fucked me up though. I cant play games without the buttons on the side of the mouse anymore. Its like my fingers just dont know how to hit the number keys on the keyboard anymore.

There are other mice brands that have MMO style mice similar to the Naga. You’d be better off looking into that. Logitech G600 has what you’re looking for. I’m sure Steel Series would have a comparable product.

I haven’t really experienced any crashes yet except for some reason when I exit the game, Windows gets an APPCRASH error message but there are slowdowns and frameskips. Plus it’s really laggy when cutscenes are played.

Still locked at 30 fps? Or have we gotten around that yet somehow?

I think there was a PC Gamer article about the FPS lock. I’ll see if I can bring it back up because it had a section about how to unlock it.

I question if the person that wrote this actually played the game. Even people with powerful machines get an unstable mess when they unlock the cap.

It’s currently on sale for 8.99; 10% off from it’s 9.99 MSRP price tag.

IMO, I’m not gonna buy this until trading cards and achievements are fully implemented. I got the game + the netplay patched installed on an older HDD, that’s still in my house./

Yeah thats it but even then the game can have massive drops in framerate for a second or 2. Oh and I’d like to add that DR3 has some graphical glitches, like stuff not loading properly.

Steam forums rife with reports of random crashing (often during cutscenes) & unoptimized performance.

I’m not sure if QLOC handled this port or not, but I don’t think I’ll be buying Capcom PC games on day-one anymore. The Strider full-screen bug & now this have pretty much sullied the confidence I had in them based on their earlier ports.

I’ve been playing Killer is Dead a lot. Luv that game. Incredible port. I never needed to lower anything graphically and it runs smooth as silk, no slowdowns, nothing.
its just really sad there’s a problem for a lotta folks were the game doesn’t load properly.
it gets stuck on infinite loading loops.

no one knows the exact problem, but it can be one of either 2 things the devs need to patch.

it isn’t necessarily the number of cores that is responsible but the cpu’s ability to multi-thread 3 threads at once for the phonecall save points. some dual core machines have hyper threading that allows for up to 4 concurrent threads, so those machines can run it. one can also have a situation on a quad core system where there are not enough available threads for the game to use that will cause the same savegame spot issue that breaks everything. on one of those quad or higher systems you should be able to eliminate any other processes that are running in the background taking up threading usage while the game is running to fix it. for those who do not have the required amount of multi-threding capability it won’t go past those phone saves unless they change that specific part of the code and split out the functions properly

the problem affect those who don’t have an intel i3, i5, or an i7 dual core processor.

I5 and i7 are not cores. i5 for desktops can get 2 to 4 cores. i5 on laptop most of them are only dual cores. i7 for desktops are mostly quad cores, but for laptops there are i7s with only 2 cores.
And to answer your question, as I said, I’m not sure…
And I said only applies to I’s generation (maybe idk) and probably only the quad cores.
I have a Q6600 (someone said it didn’t for this cpu) and an i5 quad-core but I don’t have the game to test it, so I can’t really help in any way possible

Grim Dawn

It’s a Diablo-clone that’s been out for quiet some time, however they’ve recently released a multi-player function to the game.
Game is still under Early Access, but it looks really, really interesting. It’s from the devs behind Titan Quest, but even they stated while working on the game that they were aware of TQ’s faults (was TQ a bad game or something? I dunno).

Checking the boards, I’m actually seeing a lot of positive feedback on it. I may bite the bullet and go ahead and purchase the game as I doubt it’ll hit sale soon (EA and all), but who knows. Expected release date is early 2015.

I’ve played several Early Access games, even those with a promised release date.

And yeah, you have ever reason to avoid them till find release. So many games change soooo much on final release, they play nothing alike from their EA versions once they get their full release. Plus, outside of Project Zombiod, I’m glad to know I haven’t been fucked over when entering early access games, as all the ones I’ve entered have been released. Sucks to hear about those who joined up on Stomping Lands.

So without really knowing what the hell I was doing, I managed to install a new blu ray player and a new hard drive (a WD black 2tb, gonna make it my game drive)
In retrospect, it is baffling how I had much more trouble getting the blu ray player working…or at least…playing blurays. Ironically, I had to pirate software to play blurays I actually payed for. I just got sick of dicking around with VLC.
For a while I couldn’t tell if the hard drive was installed correctly…eventually I (sort of) learned what a partition is and made my drive…a thing…or something. It’s there…and I can put stuff on it…so I’m assuming it is fine.
