The PC gaming Thread. Steam/GOG/Origin/Etc. Game/Software/Hardware talk

What genre do you like? Your quesion is too vague to give a helpful answer to lol.

It never showed any of that.

Also, I know what a game engine is.

This was the Elemental demo, BTW.

It’s just not that impressive.

EDIT ~ I just now saw that the multiplayer is live. I THOUGHT so, by looking at the ~ menu options, but I wasn’t sure. I’ma check that out.

I thought it was pretty impressive that they managed to add orange in the engine’s color palette.

As in the fruit? I’ma squeeze dat shit then. Get me some OJ.

:coffee:

you need to look at that at 60fps and in free camera view mode not a youtube video  and then to make it more nuts get an oculus rift devkit 2 THEN view the application

I was running it on my PC.

Re installed my SSD since my main OS drive has been acting wonky. Feels so good to boot up in like 20 secs. Might stick it out a little longer with this current setup i got until i figure out what i want to move off too.

What’s your tag in PoE, s00per? Add ā€œAbid_ā€ without the quotes. I’ll be on on the 20th once the expansion hits.

Everyone keep an eye out for ā€œMultistrikeā€ and ā€œFaster Attacksā€ gems for me. Going my usual melee build until I find enough gear/currency to start something different on the new league.

@Manx Go Duelist/Shadow! Go dual-whield or sword and board. I recommend Duelist since you got a grasp on his and the Marauder’s tree.

Start a new character on the new league. There’s always huge incentives to make a new character on the new leagues(league exclusive loot, most of the community will be playing the new league, items will be really cheap to trade for instead of everything being crazy inflated because it’s on standard, etc. etc.) Level 35 takes only a few hours to get to, and with the new league you’ll most likely end up more decked-out from drops/trading.

I’ll be playing the new league exclusively pretty much, I’ll help everyone out with gear when I can. The guild stashes are exclusive to each league, but there’s a lot of random stuff in the ā€œstandard leagueā€ guild tab ATM. Nothing too amazing, just stuff that’d help you level with the odd decent item.

I bought the indie bundle 6 from Green Man. I already own the first 2 and don’t care for the third so first come first serve.

Thanks, @Hawkingbirdā€Œ I picked up that Monday Night Combat.

this doesnt really makes sense, considering leveling (deep into the game) is cheaper in non melee builds by a lot. most skills that scale off gem levels are the best and cheapest, aka not melee. you dont need currency or gear, that’s more indicative of melee builds…silly abid.

btw you should just experience the game from a different angle instead of playing the same build for the nth time in a row. up your knowledge SON. im going to be playing in the HC league for the most part but i will swing over to SC for when i tackle the challenges. getting 5 challenges for the special helmet skin should be easy.

King of Fighters 13 is on the beat the average. Got it for $5.10

Van Helsing games are part of the Humble Bundle, too. I hear they’re pretty solid action RPG’s.

Anyone planning on playing MKX on Steam?

Gotta wait until the mystery games are reveal. Van Helsing is the only game from the bundle I want.

Hopefully the steam version of MK isn’t godawful

Finally, my Ducky Shine 3 came in. Thankfully, I bought a cheapo keyboard to work on when I got my computer parts. However, after working with a full size keyboard, now I wish I had a full size Shine 3 instead of a TKL. Regardless, typing is great on this keyboard and is, surprisingly, kind of fun because of the feedback. Also, this thing is built like a freaking tank. It’s incredibly heavy compared to all of the keyboards I’ve used previously. Heck, it probably weighs at least 4-5x that of the cheap full size keyboard I own. As a consequence of its build design, there is absolutely no flex at all when I type which is great after using laptop keyboards. Even if I tried to type as heavy as possible, I can’t get any flex. Hopefully, I never drop this thing on my foot because oh wow would it be excruciating. Another positive is, of course, the lighting. I honestly don’t care about all of the effects though. I simply wanted a backlite keyboard, preferably blue which is what I got. Lastly, there is some slight customization you can do with the key placements, but there’s no mapping. Fortunately, I don’t care about key mapping.

On the downside, some of the keys don’t feel as crisp as the main letter keys (return, shift, backspace, and to a lesser degree space bar). It’s probably something I’ll quickly get used to; I just wish they were closer in feel to the main keys. I’m not sure if this is similar to other mechanical keyboards or not. Additionally, I wish they had a mirror function key on the L side of the keyboard. However, both of these are petty nitpicks with an overall amazing keyboard. Now, is it worth the money? I think it is because this seems like a keyboard that can easily last for numerous years and will likely outlast your computer.

The only question I’m running through at the moment is whether I want to swap out for a full sized Ducky Shine 3. Too bad they don’t have the MX brown with blue LED full sized keyboard anymore. I’m guessing they may be phasing out the Shine 3 for the Shine 4. Honestly, if the MX brown with blue LED full sized was still available, I’d probably swap mine out in the heart beat.
