My current BnB is: cr.LK cr.MK cr.HP > cr.MP(2) st.HP xx fly > j.MK > st.MP > j.MP(3) j.HK(3) xx fly > j.LP j.LK v cr.LK cr.MK [xx Super] or [f+HK > qcf+LK].
Super variation does 5514 1v1, meterless variation does 4643.

That 9k corner one is crazy.

Parents kicked me off the TV, so I didn’t even notice you can OTG after the super to do resets. Omitting that part doesn’t make much damage difference though, and the combo is fairly easy once you practice it for a bit.

Im sorry, I fail to see the purpose of your post. So what if mvc 2 had any that? I’ve never said I remotely enjoyed mvc 2 so I fail to see why this statement should hold any significance.

Anyway, does anyone know where I can find some competent pain gameplay? I know its early but Im anxious, particularly since I won’t be able to play the game till the end of the month.

I took your combo and improved it a little.

Tested on Peacock 3v3

Did 7820 I’m sure there is much more optimization to be done

Problem with putting fly j.lk or mk in combos is that often is the starter, so infinite prevention will kick in. Try starting combos from a jump in and low to get your 2 variants of bnb

And a midscreen one if anyone else uses an assistbella (I used Cerecopter H for this)

I got about 7.5K but I think it’s a little inconsistent damage wise. So maybe ± 200 or so

EDIT: Just broke 8.7K midscreen! 8770 to be exact and I know I didn’t get full hits on some moves so it could be closer to 9K for one meter.

The almost optimized midscreen combo I’m using is:

2LP 2LK 2MP(1 hit) 5HP fly j.6MK 2MK 2HP fly (delay) j.6HK 5MP j.MP j.HP (wait till just before the last hit) j.HK land 2MP 5HP 236PP 5HK j.LP 236KK

Generally I don’t do the last super unless it will kill, go for reset off of 5HK instead. You might have to adjust the air string a bit depending on the character but it’s fairly easy to eyeball. There are several ways to cut the airstring short and go for reset to make the combo meterless.

If someone can help me make this do more damage I’d be appreciative.

The significance is that this was never a problem for players in MvC2, even though that game had assist characters that were so much there just for their assists that players would often just get up and leave if they were caught with just their third character left against a full team.

I’m still not exactly sure how it works, but no jump in affects the bnb I posted and it never falls due to infinite protection. I think you are free to do whatever you want as long as the combo state number is less than 5 and when it reaches 5 you have to be careful to mix up the starters to your chains.

I’m loving Painwheel so far, a little awkward but she puts out damage with a little work.

By the way, the damage I reported earlier was tested in a 2v1 scenario. My understanding of the system is that solo fighters get more health, so if it was 3v3 it would still do the same damage. Not sure though, but the damage seemed right considering shorter combos did about the same as others posted.

Cougar, I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong in trying to replicate your corner BnB, but i keep getting infinite prevention at the later st. lp, cr.lk and so on.

9700 Damage Midscreen no meter:

st.hp (full charge), st.hp x fly, j.mk, cr.mk, cr.hp x fly, j.hk, st,mp, j.mp, j.hp x236-lk

Considering the super armor property on st.hp this should not be entirely impossible to land and if you counter something big it could probably kill a 3v3 character.
In the corner you can do supers for more damage.

Try doing cr.LK > cr.MK > HP > Fly > DF+LK > cr.MK > HP > Fly > j.MK > MK(3) > s.HP > QCF+LP > LP > LK > MP > j.LP > j.LK > j.MK > LP > cr.LK > MP > j.MP > j.HP > j.HK > cr.MP > HP > QCF+LP > F+HKx4 > QCF+HK > Air Super

I’m assuming that it should work, and the damage is probably about 11-12K, I’ll test it and let you guys know.

Yea this is a fun game I’m just waiting for XBL to be fixed so i can grind online.

I’ll try to put a video up as soon as I get the chance. It probably won’t be soon, but I tested it several times and it worked for me. Maybe I got the notations wrong? I’m surprised that happens since you never use st.lp into cr.lk anywhere else in the combo, but it’s definitely possible that I got the notations wrong since I did it from memory.

Doesn’t sound like the ender would work since QCF + lp seems to do less stun the second time, but otherwise that’s a great combo!

I’m pretty sure you can end that with j.mp x fly, j.QCF+HK x j.QCF+KK midscreen. Not sure how much more damage that would squeeze out. Or you could end without the super and come in for a mixup, because j.QCF+HK won’t send them across the screen like j.QCF+LK will.

I really like ending corner combos with j.QCF+LK/MK, land, OTG cr.MP, Hornet Bomber assist (Double’s DP+HK), because you have all the time in the world to set something up afterward, or just go into Death Crawl for damage.
