You’re probably trying to do Desk combos and getting owned for it. Or, it could be your goal is to be cool and respected more than winning. It could also be a factor of a shitty team that doesn’t really do anything but fail at Desk combos. Another reason could be you don’t practice enough; therefore, you’re unprepared for shit that you don’t know. Finally, it could be the lack of experience.
Whatever it is, you can overcome these factors of being free by coming out more often to hosting.

Thanks to everyone I played tonight I dont play online so it helps alot strong some good comp in. Unlike other people I love criticism on my team. I felt I did ok. I play alot better by myself or with Marshall lol
Anyways I went home hit the training mode and found out some nice hulk with doom assisst combos im pretty happy about lol. Lovif this game I feel im learning quick. At this point in super I was just getting bodied left and right haha

It’s mostly that, I practice about an hour or two a days, but the lack of experience is killling me, my team makes sense though…I just don’t know how to use it very well. And apparently the teams I’ve been working on work perfectly for the DHC glitches. I can only use 1.5 of my characters well on point (the .5 being sentinel, which is the factory standard for the robot). I just still haven’t gotten used to the mechanics of it all, I don’t call out assist hardly ever because i’m not used to the multitasking/hitting multiple buttons. I just forget that I can do a whole lot more than just combos into supers and DHCs (assists, advancing guard, wavedash, aerial tags, etc.). Anyways I’ll try to come out to Ian’s it’s a bit last minute so idk if I can make it, but fingers crossed I need some damn games in!!!

The hotel wifi barely reaches my Office so I’ll try lol. It worked most of yesterday and this laptop lasts all day while at work for 5 hours or so lol.
The only reason I got upset was because I felt like I had a solid team of the three characters I enjoyed the most in this game. But ultimately I realized that people were right. So I dropped Zero for Sentinel for the rest of the night and, well, it worked out. So thank you to everyone who gave me advice even if I wasn’t receptive to it initially.

You made the right choice, John. Dante has no better friend than Sentinel (who’s not named Albert Wesker, anyway). Welcome to the machine. :bgrin:
Nah, seriously, nobody’s gonna care about your Sentinel when they see your Dante/Wesker in action. People will be way too busy scrambling to block all the crazy flying swords and drones to ponder long on whatever selling out you did. By the time they’ve prepared their indignant argument for what a heretic you are, they’ll already be dead from one of those crazy double-Volcano combos (or just a Wesker gunshot loop).
Besides, the important change wasn’t adding Sentinel, but just adding a bit of a life/zoning buffer to your team’s already solid rushdown capacity. You could have gotten plenty of offensive synergy with Zero+Wesker OR Dante+Wesker; you didn’t need all three. Now your team has two characters doing 90% of the stuff they could do with three – lots of meterless damage and legions of high-low-crossup mixups (with option of unblockable via Wesker assist) backed by an absurdly good ground cover assist.
Your old team wasn’t horribly flawed, just kinda redundant. Your new team has a lot more efficiency. Team-building dynamics are still really important in this game due to the kinds of bullshit you have to work around (screen-filling zoning patterns, one-hit-kills, Haggar lariat assist), but you don’t have to sell your soul to win in this game. End essay.
P. S. I hereby unilaterally declare a moratorium on salty runbacks in the greater Orlando area for the next month. You guys have abused your privilege. 5/9 is more than more than enough.
Yea, you’re definitely right…this is not cvs2 where you can have 3 “style on em” characters on one team…with the damage that a single character can do you need a solid “beef” character.
If you don’t want to be a Sentinel whore then try Tron or Doom…
I use Sentinel purely for his assist and health, if I’m down to my last character and its him with almost full health and x-factor then that’s shame on you…I’ll take my 7-hit win:rofl:
Rafy if u haven’t already check out the lat two episodes of cross counter. Its mainly newbie stuff but im new to vs games so it helped mw alot. Things such as wen to push block or calling in assists by pressing two buttons at the same time
not going to lie his zero is very good but yea ur D is not so good and maining zero with no D u will be getting bodied alot lol but go what u like u think sent will help go ahead i no i will never use sent hes ass im fine with wesker magneto and Ryu and i think im pretty good with them but thanks for the games last night final meet CJ his fei-long is good but other mvc3 players ggs to u can john i no u was getting salty of my Ryu lol thats how u have 2 play with him super from far screen it has a big hit box so yea thats all ryu has
