EDIT: Also, could someone please answer this for me, for mvc3 is simple mode to be banned? From the souds of it, i hope so but if it doesn’t matter, then whatever.
If reg starts at 9am whats the ballpark time for the sf4/Marvel 3 tourneys starting 12pm-1pm? Basically I wana know how late i can show up cus i want sleep lol.
of course which is why I don’t want to completely state game time. Oh well here it goes. Reg begins at 10am and ends at 11:30am for ssfiv/smash because I want seeding done by scene leader for each event and have events begin by 12pm. Marvel will begin later in the afternoon at around 2-3pm as we hit round 3 of loser’s brackets of ssfiv.
So you wanna sleep, understandable, come at 11am then please. I may consider being a dick to those who come after 11:30am for said events, with the exception of marvel.
Also, does anyone have an answer about simple mode in mvc3?
I can JUST make it on time at 2 - 3, but I won’t be able to show up earlier to register… is it possible to register before hand and show up when the event starts? Like say, online, or on saturday?
My problem isn’t that I need sleep. it’s just that I’m busy during weekends, like i said earlier…

Nobody in their right mind would use Simple Mode for MvC3. It predefines moves easily. They cannot obtain creative combos with it. With that said, there’s no rule about banning it, I just don’t think anybody in their right mind would limit themselves.

Same here! Looking forward to watching one of these events to see what’s it like. Planning on attending one of mine in the near future just to get my feet wet. Never really been a big fighting guy, but just bought the game today and am committed to getting good at it. I’ve had it with FPS games, too easy. I’d like a challenge!
Damn, So I brought my copy marvel 3 Just in case… and ended up using it. It was good and I had been playing on it about a week with no problems Then I find that nobody was playing on the station I popped the disk in… why? because there’s a huge ass circular scratch on it, and the game won’t play for more than 5 minutes without freezing =( …
I’m glad I didn’t bring my box…
Argh. not bringing a game again unless I have a spare copy…
